Yoko's is delicious and offers authentic Japanese dishes. My kids LOVE their Yakimeshi dish, the Chicken or beef terryaki bowls 🍜 and of course the Gyoza 🥟 are always a hit. We highly recommend them. They have been in. Business since 1993 at this location and serve the food hot and fresh. #supportsmallbusiness #yokosjapanese #gyoza #yakisoba #japanesefood

I happened to be in Mesa today 8-17-23 helping a customer, and had not had lunch yet. Found Yoko on the map and headed there to try them out. Boy did I made the right choice! I got there at 6pm on Thursday. There was 4-5 people inside waiting for food, and a steady flow of take out orders coming in the door. About one every 2-5 minutes. Nobody had to wait very long, most orders were made /filled, in about 5-10 minutes. The restaurant is well lit, well ventilated ( you can feel the cool breeze from the ceiling fans ) and is spacious inside. They have small tables + chairs on one side, and 4 nice big booths on the other side. The two people behind the counter were nice and answered all my questions. Unfortunately they did not have a list of allergens or gluten free items listed on the menu. But we figured out a couple items that should be gluten free (not breaded and not made with soy sauce). I had the large sweet and sour chicken bowl, made with GRILLED white meat chicken breast w/ veggies over white rice. And a small side of Egg Flour (Nori) soup. It took about 10-15 minutes to get my order. Which was worth it! The chicken breast was high quality, cooked to perfection (not raw, or overcooked /black like at some restaurants) the red + green pepper chunks were warm and crunchy, and the chunks of pineapple were delicious as well. The Egg Flour (Nori) soup was so hot I could not eat it at first. I had to add some ice to cool it off. It was full of LOTS of egg, and a good amounts of peas, carrots, and some green onions. It was thick too, not watery like at some other places. Fantastic soup once it cooled a little. Long story short, both items are gluten free (I would have had a reaction by now if not), delicious, and I am completely full. It was so good, and such a great value for $15, I ordered a duplicate order to take home with me to enjoy in a couple days. Love it!! I just wish they had a restaurant 40 miles closer to my location. (Sigh) I guess I'll have to head this way once or twice a month now to pick up some food. It's that good. I posted pics of my order. =)

Visited Yoko because my friend said it "was the best." They did not disappoint! I ordered the beef yakameshi and loved it. My buddy order the house chicken + beef and I'm ordering that next time. I will be back soon 😋

Yoko's is a local staple, a steady and reliable source of good food at an affordable price. The inside is small but clean with plenty of room to sit and enjoy the meal. The portions are quite large. On this occasion, I got the orange chicken and yakisoba combo with two spring rolls. It was more than enough for two.

Some of the best Asian food around, at a reasonable price, with reasonable portion sizes. Stopped here at the suggestions of some friends and have been back two more times since. I have tried the katsu curry, lemon chicken and sweet and sour chicken, and all of them were delicious, and available as a large or regular, while most restaurants charge more and only offer a larger portion. Great to have options, and you should definitely try Yoko's if you're in the area!

Food was good, but I wish some of the dishes had more to them. I got the teriyaki chicken and rice. It was really tasty, but there was a lot of chicken and it was hard to get the rice in the bowl. Halfway done, I was sick of just chicken and rice. I would go with someone who wanted to share each of your dishes probably.

I drive completely out of my way to go to this place once a week. Family owned for many years. I have tried several delicious dishes but my favorite is kaum poong kee. I get it with extra sauce. You have to eat it right away if you want the batter to be crunchy because it will basically steam in the container and get soft on your drive home. It's delicious either way but I like it crispy.

I have been eating at Yoko Fast Food since I was a child. Best Japanese food in the valley by far. Orange chicken, Teryaki chicken, Beef and Broccoli, and Beef Yakisoba are the best!

Favorite place to eat! Everything is made fresh and the portion sizes are reasonable for the price. Might be a bit biased cause I used to work here but I've tried everything on the menu and you cant go wrong with anything here. Hands down best takeout and dine in Mesa has!

I stopped by for the first time tonight as I was running late for work and didn’t have time to cook before leaving home, and this was the closest food place that was still open near my job. I’ve gotta say... this is probably one of the best Asian food joints I’ve EVER been to! I was in a rush and had no idea what to even get, the person working the counter was extremely friendly and helpful, asked me what I liked and made a suggestion based on it — I ended up with the house special and it’s AMAZING!!! They had it done in less than 5 minutes after ordering and the amount of food is exceptional for the price, not to mention the quality of it! If I could give 10 stars I would!!! Definitely coming back during the daytime
