Dim Sum Cafe is a happy find. It's small on the inside but packs a lot of yummy food. I have been two times now. So far, everything I've tried is satisfying. I will definitely frequent here many times. Small private owned business. Seems family ran. Service is great. Can get busy but that is to be expected. It's hard to find a good dim sum place in Phoenix and I think this has been the best one yet.

I recently visited a quaint cafe in Mesa, Arizona that, despite being named after dim sum, offers a rather unconventional approach to this beloved culinary tradition. It's important to note that if you're seeking an authentic dim sum experience, this might not be the ideal place for you. Firstly, the cafe's limited space and small size may not accommodate larger groups comfortably. However, the cozy atmosphere does have its own charm and can create an intimate dining experience. One aspect that stood out was the departure from the traditional dim sum service style. Instead of the customary cart service, where servers push carts laden with a variety of dim sum dishes, customers are required to order directly from the menu. This deviation might disappoint those seeking the interactive and dynamic nature of selecting dim sum dishes at their own pace. When it comes to the dim sum itself, I found the flavors to be somewhat ordinary. While the selection was decent, it didn't quite capture the authenticity and complexity that one would expect from traditional dim sum establishments. On a positive note, I did try the Beef Brisket & Tendon Noodle Soup, which showcased tender pieces of beef brisket and tendon cooked in a special chee hou sauce. The dish was served on flat rice noodles in a flavorful soup base, and it provided a satisfying and hearty option for those seeking a different taste experience. In summary, if you're looking for an authentic dim sum experience with bustling cart service and exceptional flavors, this might not be the ideal spot. However, if you're open to a unique twist on dim sum and appreciate a cozy ambiance, you might still find something enjoyable at this cafe.

We really liked the chow fun, it was delicious. The fried dough was also good, tasted better the second time we ordered it, soft and fresh, good combination with the soy milk. 👍Shumai was really good, lots of meat and good flavor. 👎The Shanghai soup dumplings were just so so. Not much soup in it, and the flavor was not right. Good service, reasonable price.

Little strip mall place. The food is good. Everything is bigger than you think it is going to be. We had almost everything on Dim Sum menu. Between the 4 of us we still had enough for 3 boxes of leftovers so be smarter than us and order as you go. The staff was great. Kept our drinks full and the food coming.

Service was good, met with a smile and made good recommendations. Food was well prepared and well presented. Tasty, nothing burnt or undercooked. Serving sizes very generous, we ordered wayyyyyy too much food on accident. Felt a bit quiet, there was no music playing and could do with more drink options. Very satisfied overall.

The whole experience was nice at this dim sum cafe, the food was delicious, staff was very friendly. We first went to another location that had about a 2 hour wait

The wife and I love this place! The dim sum here is very delicious and made to order. I will say that the menu is limited, a little pricey, but definitely worth it. It’s not like a traditional place where carts are moving around the restaurant and you’re constantly being asked what you’d like, but the staff is very friendly and attentive! You don’t have to wait long to get an order in and get hot and fresh dim sum at your table! The food is very delicious and I’d recommend coming with a few friends so you can try them all! Worth a try!

We were in the area and searched “dim sum near me”. So glad Google suggested this place. It is now our top choice for dim sum. They don’t have a lot of choices like you would see at a restaurant with the dim sum carts. But they had enough to satisfy our cravings. Very fresh and tasty. Much better than the places with carts. I have been to the ones with carts even at opening. Dim Sum Cafe is fresh. You will taste the difference. It would be great if they offered more dim sum instead of the many Chinese dishes they have. I also wish that the hot tea would be complimentary vs $1.50 per person. We ordered mapo tofu without pork and garlic Chinese broccoli off the menu. Broccoli was excellent. Soup dumplings, sticky rice, and crystal shrimp were great. The custard bun breading is not what we prefer. BBQ pork bao tastes the same as other places. Steamed dumplings were decent, nothing spectacular. Service was fantastic. I appreciate that they gave little bowls with three dividers for chili oil, chili flakes, and a sweet and sour type sauce. Soy sauce bottle at the table. Place was always full but no line on a Sunday lunch time.
