Neighborhood treasure. Seats about 25 - small but efficient. Restrooms are clean. No Wifi but you are going to be to busy eating to care. The food quality rivals the finest restaurants. Tamales are made fresh.
We had carne asada burrito and a Machaca chimi. We added 1 red Chile pork tamale to try. All was wonderful, fresh and hot.
If you need a place for a tasty.lunch, this is it.
Picking up some movies and decided to have lunch at Christina's as the reviews were very good!

That was the best Chimmichanga I have ever had, medium heat with green Verde sauce. The sides of rice and refried beans were flavourful and just the right amount.

Highly recommended, truly authentic Mexican food! Their food is house made, even their tamales, and you can taste the difference. My favorite is their plant based green corn tamales. Some tamales are almost tasteless other than the filling, but these taste like fresh flavorful corn complimented by the filling of cheese and peppers. It is spicy, but not too spicy. They have just enough heat for flavor. The restaurant is somewhat small and fairly plain, but very clean. The service and food was excellent. They truly care about the quality of their food and want to make their customers happy. Everything that they have is available for take out as well. Enjoy!
It was delicious and fresh. The tables and kitchen are so clean I thought they just opened. I was greeted warmly and patiently as they explained some entrees. You can tell them how mild or spicy you want it. I loved it and I didn’t even get heartburn! We are going to try the homemade empanadas next time but will call first to make sure they’re not out.
The most authentic Mexican food I have had since I was a little girl! The owners are super sweet too. My 7 year old daughter absolutely loved it too! My dad had a nostalgic moment while eating there food! We will definitely be returning!

This is our favorite, go-to Mexican Restaurant! The small, mom-and-pop shop is truly a hidden gem. The food is DELISH (try the shredded beef red chimi- you won’t be disappointed). My husband has been eating here for years and the owner and his wife are always so friendly, and they’ve memorized our order :) They are such good, hard working people, and they are so grateful for any and all business they receive. They would be so busy all the time if only more people knew about them! HIGHLY recommend.
Also, regarding some of the recent comments about them being closed/not answering phones: they had Covid badly, and since they are the only two people who run the place, they had to close for an extended period of time while they recovered. Thankfully they are now well!
We absolutely love this restaurant! We're so sad to hear about the owner's illness and we pray for them to have a speedy recovery! This is the only Mexican restaurant my wife will eat at, as the food is so close to her Nana's.
Let's hope that the community can offer them any help that they might need.
Authentic Mexican food. Reminds me on my nana's cooking. So delicious. Definitely going back for more.
Having been here several times I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet. One of the staples here in Tucson which has been around forever and never fails!! I've come on different days at different times & I've always gotten the best & most flavorful hotdogs & fresh & hot crispy French fries.
