Xing Wang

First time customer. The outer room was not super clean and felt a bit depressing. I felt rushed to order by the person at the counter. Got chicken with cashews and egg rolls. At home I opened the bag and was disappointed to find just one fortune cookie, NO sauces, and I mean, not even soy sauce, what?! The dish had lots of cashews but the chicken was tough and the dish overall was bland. The rice that cane with it wasn’t even a cup serving. Rice is dirt cheap, why the stingy portion? I know these are hard times for the restaurant industry all around but it’s hard times for everyone and for $22.00 with a generous tip, no, this doesn’t cut it. This was a miss for me. I can’t recommend.

We were in the area house sitting so we decided to get takeout from here. It had been a really long time since I'd been there but remembered it was very good. Unfortunately this time around the food was average. Everything tasted fine and was cooked how it should be though. We had a Pupu platter and a couple other apps along with the sweet and sour chicken. The fried rice was meh but the beef lo mein was pretty good. The egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken were also good. Overall it's an ok place to grab some quick takeout but if you're looking for super good Chinese food, there are probably better options out there.

First off I enjoy the food. It is cooked fresh and is reasonably priced. I have been a patron since they opened up as it is about a mile from my home. I often order online, it is simple and I can make sure I have the order correct. I noticed last night that I could only place the order if I put in a tip. I couldn't put in what I wanted but had to pick a percentage from a drop down. Now this is a order and just pick up place. If I want to leave a tip I will. I don't like being forced to leave a tip. I may think twice before going there again, they are not the only game in town.

This place is usually good but today was a disappointment. Dry and overdone appetizers with rice which was not fresh. Pair that with the general unfriendly personality of the person that grabbed my credit card and I think I'm done with the Xing. The soup is usually good but today was blech. I miss the Mandarin down the street. Boo! just Boo Hoo!
