Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Well what can i say for Dickeys BBQ. for starters it was a let down for myself. I was expecting a little bit more for what i paid. As i walk in i notice that the place was empty, but clean. I notice that only 2 workers were on site, but not sure if anyone was in the back. I look at the menu and i notice some over price items, what man by that is the quantity of meat portion that they serve on your plate. "I'm not sure if all the Dickey's BBQ Restaurants are the same way. " i order the 3 item plate Brisket, Polish Sausage, and the famous "ribs" more like 1 bone rib.🤣🤣🤣. When i order meats at restaurants i try them with out adding any seasoning to them. My Brisket lack seasoning, and the rib had some. The problem with the mattress were like they taste and felt like they were yesterday BBQ and that they were heat up slow to make it seem that they were fresh. Believe i did eat the food because i don't believe in wasting and plus i paid 18 dollars for that plate. Greens beans had a good amount of seasoning but they were salty. The Patato salad was decent but it tasted like the San Francisco or the Smart & Final brand. The bread roll was a little bit warm and a little bit hard. Again it made me feel like it wasn't fresh at all. The Brisket was dry and it wasn't even in slices like it should be. As for the rib it was just a 1 bone and it was dry. Did i mention 1 little tiny bone 😗. My granddaughter order the Mack n cheese with the dry Brisket. Now here's the kicker to this dish. She's a fan of mack n cheese. She eats that staff 3 to 4 times week. To me it was like a normal Mack n Cheese. She had like 5 bites of it and gave up. He reaction was let's never come back here. My wife had what they call the Brisket sandwich . Which was just bread and meat plain and simple. Here's the deal, Was my plate worth paying the $18 dollars? Hell no due to the very small portions of meat. It's not like their pictures of advertising!!! I don't understand why they are still in buiesnes. Maybe dickies corporation Neff to look at this place Undercover and save their reputation. I'm really sorry to say that it was a let down for me. I usually give i second chance to redeemed them selves but it's hard doing it at this establishment. Dickie's I'm not asking for free food at all or money back! I'm a Foodie, and this food wasn't yummy for my tummy at all 🥺🥺🥺 Oh? If your wondering why i didn't complain, well their sign speaks for itself. Just look at the picture that said "All sales are final" My pictures really don't do justiceat all

I used to love to come to this place for the pulled pork sandwiches. They were $6.50 roughly a year ago, then the price jumped a dollar and I was okay with that but now the same sandwich is $10.50? It's NOT Famous Dave's! (Update 6-17-22) went to this place and tried to use the coupons they sent me from the corporate headquarters today and they said they don't honor those! This place is TERRIBLE!

Ordered and paid for a special that was online and was told when i got there to pick it up that it wasn't available at the Merced location, even though it was on the Merced website menu and that they had a call into cooperate to see how to handle it and I had to wait for them to call back because that special they do not honor at this location. Makes no sense if i put in my location and it is on the menu and I'm able to purchase it they should honor it or remove it from the website.

Ordered their 2 meat plate with 2 sides and I’m very disappointed with the 2 sides. First time customer ordering from them via DoorDash and I regret it. The mac and cheese tasted stale and old because it was very moshy and the ingredients were starting to separate. Happens when milk based product are old and not consumed by a certain date. The potato casserole tasted the same. It will diff be my last time I order from them. Working 12 hrs at a site for pge to get served this is very insulting. The meat however was the only edible thing. Very good. The back of the house needs to stop being so cheap and throw away food that passed it’s dated serving time. My health is more important then having days old Mac n cheese being served to customers just to save a dollar. Do the right thing management and address this.

Dont order through the app at this location. They allow you to place an order with promo codes and charge your card. Then call you back after you wasted your time and tell you they dont participate in promotions. Its no wonder all the Dickeys locations are closing. Manager should have still gone through with the order due to the fact its their mistake for not opting out of the app if they dont wish to participate. Avoid this location.

I don't know why Dickies doesn't get more business. The food is always good, best onion rings, thinly cut, and good bbq. We usually get a sandwich, toss some of the heated, as in temp not spice, sauce( they have three sauces available) and sit to eat and watch the sports channel and listen to country music. Special report on the young lady and gent working at Dickies Merced. They were nice as could be and kept working, not standing around with that too often seen, blank stare. Cheers to 'em
