I loved it for so many reasons!!
I love the outside seeming like an old Victorian style saloon. It's breathtaking upon walking in. It's in the era of an old western/20s Flapper era combined. So much class.
I love how when one wanders the room it changes before your eyes from facing the window in trees and then transforming into their "garden" and then up in the back its set to be eating in an old country home with Oak and cute walls.
The service was great. They smiled. They were at the perfect level of being attentive and making sure we were well taken care of, but still able to eat in peace and take the meal and the room and each other in.
The food was some of the best I've had in the area. Thank you for everything. I will be back, and talk about this for years to come.

Wild west is still here in Mendocino. The hotel is kept in the old tradition, sense for detail meticulously applied. Fun to be there.

Our second time here first for Sunday brunch they also offer free mimosa. The food was good I love their Wedge salad so much. The server are so polite and fast on spot. There are two dining sections I love them both. The interior is so classic old time. Awesome location.

I was concerned because we'd just gotten into town and I was wearing jeans and this looks like a fancy place from the outside. But it was fine, mostly locals in the bar area and wearing casual clothes. It had a very lovely, old fashioned, interior. A bit confusing as to where to start because they have 3 different menus and a separate sitting area for each. We had "bar" food which was good. Hubby ordered the best crab cakes he's eaten--good ratio crab to breading, and I had some okay fish and chips. The fries were the best part! Bar mixed drinks were quite pricey for what it was, so I had a beer. I loved the interior decor, and it's Christmas time right now, so lobby and restaurant were very cozy and festive! I would come back.

I love this place. Intimate bar or restaurant seating. Ocean and headlands view plus outdoor seating for day. Mega atmosphere. It's a 130 year old beautiful hotel. All our entrees and sides were excellent. Scallops, prawns, bacon seared brussel sprouts and delicious dessert. But the best is bloody Marys and the best eggs Benedict ever...I had the crab this time..can't wait to return. Oh yes and the staff is great but settle in they do get busy during peak times. Buy yourself a glass of wine in the classic bar and enjoy.

Very fun classic fancy atmosphere. Feels vintage and vibrant.
The food was okay--probably would have been better if it came out hot but it had already cooled a bit before it was delivered to us, which isn't so great for a seafood dish. I think the plate was hotter than the fish.
The prices were a bit much for what you get compared to other restaurants in Mendocino.
The server was great and the atmosphere fun but lacking in food quality and price.

We sat in the garden bar. Our waiter was very nice. Unfortunately they were out of pizza dough so I had fish and chips,I choose sweet potato fries and my hubby had the burger. 12.95 each. Better prices than Mendocino cafe down the street.

Absolutely amazing location, beautiful inside and out - very enticing decor. Unfortunately, we did not stay the night here but we had an amazing dinner and dessert! Michael Davis helped us and he was spectacular! Thank you for the wonderful expiernce!!
