Roxie's is a food jewel hidden in plain sight. Normally, a place has to be special for me to eat a hamburger, but I'm so glad that I tried it. Roxie's has one the best burgers I've ever tasted in my lifetime. It's everything that you'd want in a hamburger: juicy, cheesy, and slightly sloppy. Give it a try, you won't forget it.
This was on our list to try after searching the web for the best burger in Memphis. The inside may turn some people away but the triple uptown burger is by far one of the best burgers we have had.
Absolutely one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life. It ain't good for you, but it's OH SO GOOD in your mouth. Maybe I'll try some of the other food one day.
Definitely A Top Burger in Memphis. After hearing about Roxie's, a friend and I drove there for some lunch. I consider myself a burger aficionado of sorts, so I had to order the Mr. Good Burger and it did not disappoint. It's made to order, 2 well seasoned big beef patties, grilled onions, cheese ( I chose pepper jack) big pieces of bacon, lettuce, tomato...let's just say the thing is huge! It wasn't easy holding it together, as I ate it in my truck parked on the street next to the community center. It came with a side of crinkle cut fries that were nice and hot out of the fryer. Don't let the neighborhood or the store itself scare you off. The area is much better than it has been it the past. Definitely one of my top burgers in town.

No need to mention it again: the place is low in the looks department. It's cramped, disorganized, a little dirty, and the workers and customers smoke inside.
The burger was fantastic. I ordered the Uptown Burger which comes with a couple different kinds of cheese, onions, green peppers, and jalapeños. I think it comes with two patties, but I'm not sure, mine sort of fell apart as I was eating it. It's best eaten with a fork. It was too much to eat for me. Next time I'll get something a little simpler.
Definitely a best of Memphis. The burgers are great. don't be thrown off by the appearance of the place. A must go to in Memphis. Don't be in a hurry; good things come to those who wait.
Im skeptical when someone uses "Best Burger" genre , but the Mr. Goodburger should be on your bucket list. 10/10 score.

Unbelievably Delicious!. I went to Roxie's years ago, before all the hype, at the suggestion of my dad - who always finds the good hole in the wall joints. When I walked in, I knew it would be great, despite the fact that it's a neighborhood market, in North Memphis, selling ice cold beer, smokes and the usual chips, candy, etc. The burger was fantastic! Well, fast forward 5 years and there is much hype surrounding this place and more so - the burgers! So, I have been trying to get there all summer, but they have had some remodeling going on, so I wasn't able to get there until now for another go...This morning was the day! I had the single Uptown Burger and it was unbelievably delicious! Loaded with grilled peppers (both jalapeno and various bell peppers) and grilled onions, pepper jack, hoop cheese and sharp cheddar and then the regular toppings of choice, it was HUGE. WOW! Served with a smile and cooked to order. HOT AND DELICIOUS! All on the cheap...This burger and a 16 oz. beer were a mere $6.50!! Needless to say, I will be back and telling others, "GO and GO QUICK!"
First Impressions, Don't be fooled!. Don't be fooled by first impressions. From the outside this business looks like a "dive". However, "dives" usually have the best food. I had the Uptown Burger and it was great with the cheeses and grilled onions and peppers. Be sure to have plenty of napkins on hand.
I would highly recommend this place. My only disappointment was that there was no place to sit down and eat the burger.
Good Flashback. This place is your typical corner store in the hood. Now what makes Roxie's Grocery different is the fact that its right in the midst of the new redeveloped uptown area. And make it even better they make burgers there with real ground beef. Probably not good for you but who cares. Its good. Only tip I would say is to go early before school lets out and all the kids go up there. But i'll probably swing back over there pretty soon.
So I finally went to Roxie's, I ordered the Triple Uptown Combo that came with fries and a drink. It was delicious. I couldn't bite it because it was so huge. I was cutting off of it with a knife. I ate off this burger for 2 days. It was very tasty. Most definitely will visit again.
It was fire! The burgers were great and the fries were perfect! I got the yams for desert and they were the best I have ever had from a restaurant! The only draw back is you cant eat at the grocery. Highly recommend the Goodburger!
You will not find a better burger in the city of Memphis, TN. I've been coming here for years and somehow manage to forget how good they are. We ordered and decided to take our food down the street to grind city brewery and eat. Ordering went pretty smooth but there was a super long wait. I highly recommend calling in your order. Burger was a little dry but had good flavor. The burgers are huge so unless you can eat a lot, the single pattie would be enough. I didn't care for the fries at all.
Hands down, the BEST burger in West TN.!!!! A hidden gem and hope it will remain open!

Greatest burger hands down. The 50's style corner grocery has a lack of atmosphere, but definitely has some wonderful food for the I'm hungry kind of guy.
This is one unique place, a little shady and not the pleasant people but the burger is one of the best I have ever had. The fries are also on point dusted with a killer seasoning fried hot and crispy. It takes a while to get your food but well worth every minute. There is no seating so you will eat in your vehicle so make sure you grab plenty of napkins!!!
