I absolutely loved this ice cream shop! The service was amazing. All of the employees were super friendly and eager to help. They have a large variety of ice cream flavors and toppings. As well as pre-made cupcakes, cakes, and many more treats. I thought it was super cool that they make the ice a cream in front of you as well. I got a chocolate Oreo milkshake. It was a little bit too chocolatey for me, but I think next time I won’t add the extra syrup! So next time you’re taking a stroll downtown, or grabbing a bite to eat definitely stop here to cool down with some ice cream!
Very nice place. The person working took pride in her work, I did not ask if she was the owner. In any case, she was a delight, and she took great pride in her job and the products she sells. I had a strawberry cheesecake sundae in a fresh made waffle bowl and took a white chocolate dipped cheesecake for later. Both were fantastic, I did have to remove some of the white chocolate because it was way sweet for me. This is not a complaint in any way, just my preference. I definitely recommend checking them out!
Like a creamy gelato. This place is awesome and amazingly friendly. I plan on stopping here every trip to Memphis!!
I ordered a pack of ice cream sandwiches that were delivered via Uber. The texture was perfect for consumption even after a short car ride. They were still semi-soft after being in my freezer. I think they were perfect. I notice a lot of comments in the reviews about melting but for me the product was very nice.I was told if I walk there from hotel the calories will not count. Next time I will walk and try more products!

The people were really friendly and the ice cream was wonderful.
We just happened upon this ice cream shop downtown on Main Street while visiting the museum right next door. They had a very interesting ice cream stuffed doughnut. It was worth a try. Yummy! We also had the macaroons ice cream sandwiches. The employees were fun and accommodating. Explaining the things they sell and all the home made ice cream flavors available. Pretty cool ice cream shop!
Love it, Margie's has some of the best ice cream hands down. The strawberry shortcake is amazing. On top of the best ice cream ever, the family owned and ran shop is super inviting. Most likely, you will be served by Margie herself. For the shop to be around over 2 decades, you know the ice cream is good and the service is even better. It's a treat to try. If you are downtown, you must stop by and experience everything you've been missing.
Awesome service...and quite possibly the best ice cream on the planet! Super friendly staff and good flavor and mix selection. I got the "mud island" in a waffle bowl and it was a perfect blend of sweets and texture (small batch chocolate fudge ice cream w/twix and peanut butter cups).
So glad we stopped here.
I highly recommend Margie's if you are in downtown Memphis. Margie's will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. They have a wide selection of delectable ice creams. There are also other treats to choose from including cookies, cakes, and cake pops.
This is not your ordinary icecream shop. The way they creat a frozen masterpiece right in front of you is very cool and unique. The use of the frozen stove and cutting up the icecream really makes Margie's 901 stand out from the rest. What a great experience.
