Gibson’s donuts are super tasty and affordable (in comparison to a chain). They have so many tasty options. If it’s your first time, they try to give you a complimentary glazed donut which is phenomenal!! I have enjoyed all their flavors and I always want to come back. I do love the lemon pound cake donut holes though!!
Best donuts in Memphis, hands down. Fresh, delicious, well-priced. We love the old fashioned, blueberry, and apple fritters. Lines can get long on weekend mornings but they are well staffed and move through people quickly. Owner is fun if he's around, sometimes tossing donuts to folks in line
I came to know about this donut place from somebody who was born and raised in Memphis- this is a family owned donut place which remains open until midnight. Go early otherwise they run out of good stuff. They have many options - and everything is very fresh. Something with maple and bacon looks interesting- the sweet and savory contrast might appear a bit weird first, but slowly you will sink in and start to appreciate. Overall a fun place
This place is a must if traveling to Memphis. The donuts are light airy and great. Wish I could try them all.
From the moment you see the signs and the packed parking lot, you know it’s a good choice. The employees were fun and helpful! They tossed us freshly made warm glazed donuts upon learning we were from out of town and patiently talked us through all the many things they offer. Yeast or cake, the donuts were delicious. The red velvet had the best tangy not overly sweet icing. Will definitely return next time I’m in Memphis!
Great little local shop, with donuts made in-house each day.
Staff was nice and welcoming, and even though we arrived in the middle of the afternoon, the selection was still good.
I tried the maple and bacon, Boston crème, and regular chocolate, all of them were good.
Oh, and new customers get a short heads-up before one of the staff hurls a fresh donut at you, that you can try and catch.

Another beautiful day for a "cafe" ride for the best donuts in Memphis. Even better when personally greeted by "The Donut Man," owner Don DeWeese.
What a fun little donut shop where it appears the owner still works in the front with his multiple employees asking if it’s your first time there and tossing a doughnut your way to catch. Sometimes you catch it and sometimes you don’t,but it’s really fun and makes the experience memorable. Long lines that went fast. Good enough donuts. The donut holes had a vanilla flavor which I have never tasted before.
Note: the owner was very friendly and engaging. I love places where owners are present and take pride in their business.
Amazing! If you are a first timer be prepared to catch a fresh glazed donut. The line moved so fast I had barely time to enjoy the display cases. I had a glazed that was thrown to me and took home a maple bacon, a glazed, and an amazing apple fritter. Delicious!!!
Absolutely fire! I was helped with in seconds. The donut tasted fresh with just the right amount of donut to sweetness ratio. The gal was so sweet she even gave me the maple one I ordered for free. Made my whole day
