Absolutely wonderful place, with wonderful staff. They are always completely attentive and made me feel like I had a sort of home away from home. The atmosphere of the shop is mellow, and perfect to chill and sit with a computer or book. The coffee is lovely too, and it won't matter if you're in the mood for something with a bit more punch to it or something very sugary; they'll have a drink up your alley. The bakery and cupcakes are also top notch. When I return to Memphis, I'll make sure to come back!
I had the best cup of coffee ever at Muddy's today!! It was my first time to visit this coffee shop and I loved it! Great atmosphere, helpful staff and great coffee! What is not to love?? ❤️
Strawberry pie was great; I hardly ever eat dessert, so this was a treat day for me. The coffee was good but kinda small. Parking is a little tight in their lot, but there's plenty of room on the side street.
The peanut butter cookies are my favorite, banana pudding is good also. Parking is limited, if you live in the neighborhood it's easier just to walk.
This is such a cute little bakery. Desserts are wonderful. It is a little crowded usually due to students and their laptops. But it's still worth the trip!
Seating poor due to people taking up the tables with their macs and hogging entire tables and benches. Not ideal if more than 2 people in party.
We all know the famous Muddy's Bake Shop, located in east Memphis, which serves some of the best baked goods in the city. Recently they opened up a Midtown location, but changed it up a bit - the emphasis is on coffee, not the cupcakes. Okay, they still have the cupcakes here too, but it's definitely all about the coffee at the Grind House.
Absolutely love this place! Great service, rich coffee and delicious baked goods!
After having cappuccino at this place, you will never again have Starbucks one.
Their cakes are soft, fluffy and delicious (try their Prozac cake, if you are a chocolate lover). They do have other yummy baked goods (try their toffee bars!).
I tried apple cider drink in the fall, and instantly fell in love with it.
One of the dessert places to be visited in Memphis!
Loved the atmosphere as soon as we walked in! Amazing selection of treats, coffee, and tea! Enjoyed the Bee’s Knees Latte that had the perfect hint of lavender! Lots of seating and the service was good. Good place to have a meeting or maybe take a date!
Wonderful bake and craft coffee shop. Sitting high above Cooper on one of Memphis’ rare hills. The shop has a huge selection of cupcakes, baked treats, savory and dessert pies. The coffee was amazing as is the atmosphere within this quaint, clean, friendly establishment. The store has plenty of tables for chatting or pulling out a laptop to catch up on a little work.
Great place too meet and greet the locals in the area and enjoy the quiet contemplation of the moment. Met a new comer to the area, several police officers with whom I found we shared some in common - body art- or as some say "tats" 😎 enjoyed listening to their respective perspectives on what their art did or didn't mean to them and discussing outdoor riding. It's refreshing to enjoy the most human side of our officers and bond over commonalities. The place was full and people had several mini meetings in the outer area. It's a great place to enjoy a drink, treat and good company.
Nice bakery and coffee shop that feels a bit like you went to a friends house to hang out, but that friend makes great coffee and pastries. The location is easy to access and has parking available.
If they are still making the mochanaut, it's a delicious blend of coffee and coconut, I like mine with and extra shot of espresso. The oatmeal cream pie is 2 homemade oatmeal cookies and buttercream icing and was delicious as well.
I love coming to Muddy’s to grab a good coffee and a sweet treat. The inside is very cozy and a popular place for people to gather to socialize or study. The outside is also very nice and has ample seating. In addition to coffee, cakes and cupcakes, this location also serves sandwiches and quick bites to eat for lunch. Muddy’s is always very clean and the employees are super friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a cute coffee shop that is uniquely Memphis, I would recommend coming to Muddy’s.
FYI: the bathrooms here are unisex and both contain changing tables 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
OMG this little place was adorable and delish! Everything was fresh! We sat out on the patio and enjoyed our coffee and confections. It was perfect!
We had the "Mochanaut" - AMAZING. This place is so great. Nice service, good sweets and cool atmosphere. Highly reccomend.
I’m from out of town and was just looking for the closet caffeine when I found this cute little place! We unfortunately didn’t have time to try any of the baked goods but they looked amazing! Their Chai Tea is phenomenal and my sister loved that they could make her a breve latte with Truvia the way she likes it when so few places actually carry alternative sweeteners. I wish I lived closer so I could come back everyday but next time I’m in Memphis there will be a return trip to Muddy’s! 😊

Muddy's is the sweetest little bakeshop in Memphis. Their cupcakes and coffee are delicious and the "Hello Dolly's" are my absolute favorite.
