I stepped inside this fun and funky restaurant with the intention of ordering the oysters. However, when I saw that they served whole fried red snapper, my interest sparked. Granted, I have never had red snapper before (and I have tried an assortment of unique eats) I couldn't pass up the opportunity!
I wasn't disappointed either! Crispy cornmeal batter and a side of lemons and chimichurri sauce, I was pleased with my new found discovery! Had I known the best "meat" was in the neck and head, I would have consumed that first, but I managed to eat the entire thing! That's how delicious this dish is!!
The lightly grilled sliced squash and zucchini was a refreshing taste in between bites. My husband ordered the catfish, another dish I love, but I couldn't part with my red snapper, saving room to make sure I finished it all!
The service was great, the atmosphere was family friendly, laid back and welcoming. While you're waiting for your food, I would recommend reading the multiple fishing stories posted on the walls. It's a fun place, a funky place and they serve some outstanding food!
An accidental delight! We stumbled in here because most other places were closed and this looked busy with locals. We were not wrong, catfish and shrimp was delicious and perfectly fried with seasoning. Never had anything quite like it. The plates looked incredible too. In good quantity and decent prices. Also had a frozen margarita during happy hour for $9 which is decent for the size. Great atmosphere, would definately be a regular if I was a local too!
Great atmosphere and music. Awesome service. Succulent thick cornmeal battered catfish and authentic red beans and rice. Hush puppies were perfect as well.
This is another restaurant that really does tarter sauce right. It is creamy and tangy.

Lady taking our order was excellent and talked us into some drink. We were smart to listen to her bc they were an awesome price for how strong they were. The catfish I had also almost beats the catfish I used to have at Cypress Inn down in Bossier City, LA back in the day!
Got my dinner delivered from this place through Uber eats. The food was packed well and served hot. The salad with fried chicken pieces were pretty decent- I wish there were a little more avocado, and some corn/ bean in it. The sesame- ginger dressing was good and the fried chickens were delicious. The French fries were kinda decent- however, the portion size was mediocre as compared to the price. I had the feeling that the salad will come with two hush puppies, however it was not there!! I was disappointed. Overall, I liked the salad.
The food here is so delicious. Also a nice place to sit and relax. Highly recommend.
Really good food, Gumbo was just like grandma's, good portion sizes, reasonable pricing, and friendly staff.
