Great food, received hot food shortly after ordering. Restaurant was pretty much filled to capacity, but it did not delay our food. Food was a nice portion too. Our waiter took our order brought our food and we never saw her again. But one of the other waiters/bus people got us some eating utensils. Always good experiences here and at the other locations.

I recently visited Soulfish Cafe and had the pleasure of trying their blackened salmon, and overall, it was a satisfying dining experience. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the blackened salmon. Cooked to perfection, the salmon had a delightful blend of spices that added a flavorful kick without overpowering the natural taste of the fish. It was moist, flaky, and served with a commendable attention to detail. The sides complemented the main dish nicely. Each side dish boasted its own unique flair, contributing to a well-rounded dining experience. The attention to the quality of the sides did not go unnoticed, and it added a delightful variety to the overall plate. While the sides shone, the cornbread left me with mixed feelings. While it was by no means bad, it didn't quite reach the level of excellence set by the other components of the meal. It was decent, but the flavors and texture didn't stand out as much as I had hoped.

I’ll start off by saying My Wife and I are very picky eaters. The food is very, very good. The catfish was so fresh I could’ve sworn there was a fishing hole in the back and they caught it, cleaned it, seasoned it well and fried it up LAWD HAMMERCY!!! The coleslaw is the BEST I’ve ever had. Last but, not least the sweet tea, be prepared to get sweet tea WASTED, it’s just as good as Grandmother’s ☀️ tea on a Sunday afternoon (the only thing missing is the mason jar)

Went in for lunch. This was our first time in. It was clean and bright and I liked the decor. There is a nice big outdoor patio should you want to sit outside. I ordered the Blackened Caesar salad with shrimp and it was delicious. My husband ordered the fried catfish and shrimp and he said it was good. He also said the tarter sauce was tasty which is important to him! We also got an order of fried pickles with ranch. Yum! Our server was nice and attentive.

Is this my favorite midtown restaurant? Yes! Every single item is prepared with care and served at its peak. The best blackened catfish I’ve ever had, and I grew up in the MS delta y’all. Possibly the best collard greens I’ve ever had too. I love their food, but don’t get the chicken wings. Get fish. Or a veggie plate. You can’t go wrong. The baked sweet potato side comes with cinnamon butter that’s not sweet, it’s amazing. The sweet potato fries are the crispiest perfect bites. The green tomato salad is really bread and butter pickles, but they won’t tell you that. They’re good, but sweeter than you might be expecting. Crispy flaky fried catfish, perfectly blackened salmon. You cannot go wrong here and the wait staff are attentive.

Grabbed lunch at Soul Fish Cafe Cooper Young location during a busy lunch rush. We were sat immediately and our server was very friendly and attentive. Our orders came out so quickly that we both believed they were for another table. My wings and fries were good and my wife's Catfish was great with a cucumber salad and cabbage. We will definitely be returning for another lunch!
