Melrose Diner

Just received food from Uber eats. I’ll be completely honest: worst home fries I’ve ever had in my entire life. I don’t mean to insult anyone’s cooking, but it was bad. Home fries are the reason I ever order from diners at all. They’re my favorite! The disappointing part is that they gave me such a big portion of home fries but they taste so bad, I can’t take another bite. I assume that’s why they are so generous lol. They tasted old, no flavor, mushy, very bland. Just bad. The egg and cheese bagel also tasted a little burnt. Didn’t enjoy. Picture says a thousand words. Ps- I think home fries are supposed to have a little CRISP to them. Not mushy, almost mash potatoes like consistency! I uploaded a picture of a “home fry”, still with skin intact. Doesn’t look grilled at all, jus boiled. Not good.

Worst service ever. We waited for about 15 min outside for a table, the people who were behind us entered first, when I finally got the table, they only said "oh, yeah, sorry", we waited for another 5 min for the table, when we were seated they did not attend us at all, the two families who were behind us were taken care of, they took their order and we (my wife and I) did not even get the napkins or menus, the waitresses just looked at us and smiled, we stopped to get out of there and at the entrance as if they were making fun of us they just said goodbye with a smile "have a good day", are you kidding me !! ?? We have been there before and the place has been full and that has never happened with the previous waitresses, I never felt so left out or discriminated!!
