Xi’an is home to one of my favourite styles of Chinese cuisine, and I love that it’s so easy to get my hands on in Melbourne. Not all Xi’an restaurants are very veg friendly, but this one has plenty of options. The roujiamo (like a burger) is one of the most popular dishes and comes in a variety of veggie options including egg or potato. It’s a must-try. I also love the “giant” egg and leek dumpling as well as the egg and tomato stew, served over hand-cut noodles. Heads up that when I ordered the noodles for delivery, they were a bit al dente, but everything else was great.

This place really sorted our Xianese food craving! Relatively quiet Saturday lunch and staff were super friendly. Everything is reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious. $33 got us 2x cold noodles, 2 meat filled "burgers" and a huge portion of garlic cucumber pickle. Will return for more soon! ❤️
P.s. Not sure if Tupperware as serving dishes is a covid thing, and obvs would have preferred plates... But in all honesty it tasted so good it didn't really matter.

The best kept secret in Melbourne! With a few Xian restaurants having come and gone in Perth (where we live), we're always keen to relive our food adventures from our last visit to Xian whenever we visit other Australian cities and this one didn't disappoint. We missed a couple of great dishes the first time (the menu was written in Mandarin) but our enthusiasm showed the second time and with the help of Google Images and the shop's assistant - we discovered the oh-so-warming and mouth watering Biang Biang noodle. Don't forget to try both the lamb cumin and pork burger; they are a must for any Xi'an food enthusiast!

Been here many, many times and the food is always spot on. We always get the rou jia mo (肉夹馍 - chinese pork burger), the yang rou pao mo (羊肉泡馍 - steamed buns soaked in lamb soup) and liang pi (凉皮 - cold noodles). Cheap prices + great service + lovely and cosy atmosphere. 100% recommend.

Lamb with cumin and chili rou his mo (Chinese burger) was enjoyable. The texture and juiciness reminded me of Mexican carnitas with a gamey flavour from the lamb. The Bao had good texture that complemented the salty and fatty braised meat. It was loaded with filling and every bite was enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

One of my favourite regular Chinese restaurants in Melbourne, hands down. The lamb noodles, the burgers, the cold cucumber are some of my favourites. They also do skewers too.

Worst noodles I've ever had... Too thick and too hard, it was like chewing rubber. I've ordered the spicy hot oil seared noodles, everything was completely wrong. It's just painful..

Confused to why some food was served in a take away containers when having in. Was decent regardless. Lamb dumplings where good. Would give 3.5 stars if I could do half a ⭐ 😂
