Located at the heritage Como house and gardens, the horse-stables turned cafe/restaurant, the Stables of Como was an eatery serving modern australian/brunch food. We’d been here a few times for lunch, and found their venue modern and bright, although their meals were pretty standard cafe stuff. Coffee was pretty average too. The gardens surrounding the cafe was absolutely beautiful however; you could rent a rug and do a little picnic there (best with byo food as their only picnic-style food seemed to be just scones). The staff members were polite and courteous, although some were not even aware we could hire picnic rugs.

Attentive staff, yummy food and a unique garden tea party vibe. We went on a cold and wet day but sitting outdoors was still pleasant and pretty. Covered and heated with clear drop down siding so the moisture doesn't get to you. On a sunny day I imagine this venue would be even more beautiful.

Food was nice, venue was lovely and service was a little disorganised but friendly nonetheless. Set menus with different drink options, and although the portions were smaller than expected, the food was delicious. Both indoor and outdoor seating available.

First impression here was good with a beautiful ambience, surrounds and grounds to dine in. Inside and outside dining options and they offer take away where you can dine in the grounds of Como house too. Admittedly the maitre d here was very rude, arrogant and more. However the manager, other wait staff and food corrected her poor form. The menu here has good options for healthy, naughty and in between. Drinks list is serviceable with good coffee and even some alcohol being served, they could add some more in regards to juices and smoothies etc. Food is not going to blow your socks off, but is is good portions, filling and quality ingredients, they could add a kids menu too. All in all, worth a visit for. Above setting and decent food, just don't expect all staff to be pleasant as mentioned in a lot of reviews about this place.

This restaurant should be rated well above 4 stars. Had a lovely breakfast.
Note. If you don't like waiting cause you can't make a booking; or you get upset cause the staff dont smile at you cause they are busy; or you just like complaining in general then it's probably not the place for you.

Excellent service, great coffee and great food, food menu very diverse with vegetarian options. Get a coffee and have a nice walk in the garden, sit down and relax and read a book

Wonderfull food and nice atmosphere. Surroundings are very pleasant with nice gardens and nature. Food was lovely. Overall a nice experience, highly recommend!

Food: Decent variety and decent quality.
Service: Very quick and friendly service. Was a super hot day and they were very accommodating with the fans.
Locations: Easy to find, plenty of parking. Fantastic garden location, simply enhances your mood as soon as you walk in. Hard to have a bad day here on a sunny day.
Value: Was expecting a high price considering its location and postcode. But nope, quite decent.
Summary: Great for dates, afternoon tea, quick coffees, dates, family lunches, great place to spend a long lunch. Almost a perfect experience for us, and will return with friends. 5 stars.
