Penguin Palace

This place is so loved by the locals. Even on a gloomy Saturday evening the place was packed with families. Warning: the portions are huge. I ordered a small and received a coffee cup size banana soft serve. The absolutely smallest size is junior which is still pretty big. For local residents this place is nostalgic. Come with an appetite :)

Service was extremely slow, when we got there there was a lot of people waiting for their orders. We should have took it as a sign to leave. It took us about 15 minutes to order, no orders came out until we ordered and all the people waiting cheered. It took about another 20 minutes to get our order and they also finished people's orders that were behind us before ours, not just one or two orders like 6-7 orders. Everyone liked what they had and sizes were good for the money but we won't be back until they figure out how to fix their wait times

To be honest always wanted to try this place. There is always people waiting in lines to get ice cream. Unfortunately I was very underwhelmed, ice cream was not flavorful to me at all. I had peanutbutter delight with chocolate ice cream and it was the blanket thing I ever tasted. Small portion and pricey. Wont go back.

8/26/21 Update: Another outstanding desert and now wonderful tables with ample shade. Love this place! Try the strawberry Dole, super yummy! 08/13/21 Update: Prompt reply with happy news of tables. We loved the ice cream and will be back to try out the new tables! 08/12/21 Great ice cream but very sad that they have zero seating. Not even outside.
