Godavari Cincinnati

I was happy to see their lunch buffet open recently, but I could only go there once due to really expensive buffet price per person. Whereas other Indian restaurants in Cincinnati charge around $14-$16, they charge $21.99, which is really a big difference for regular customers. I still give a 4 star for their food, but I wish they could lower the price down below $18 so that we can visit more often.

This place had a super extensive menu with dishes from all over India that you don't see a lot of at other local Indian spots. They also serve up some of the more familiar dishes. I eat tons of Indian, and I certainly learned/tried some new dishes from visiting here. The gongura fish curry (medium hot) was excellent, with intense flavors that mesh really well, really fresh fish flavor, and the perfect amount of spice for me to get a burn without overpowering dish. The chicken chettinadu was also near perfection with the flavors/heat and had giant pieces of chicken. The garlic naan was pretty good, large, but could have been a little softer. There's so much that catches my eyes on the menu, and so far, I've been very impressed. I'll definitely be a regular and keep feeding my curiosity!

Godavari is the best Indian family Restaurant I have ever eaten at in Cincinnati. The food was awesome Veg & Non veg what ever you ordered they serve you fully fresh, yummy & authentic food . My family’s 1st choice in Indian restaurants is Godavari always. They served food so fast. The Staff are also very friendly and good. Food Quantity & Quality is best. 10/10 Recommend!!!

One of the best South Indian restaurants in Cincinnati.💯 This is the perfect choice if someone craves for the Spicy South Indian food. Came here for dinner Saturday night with friends. Service was slow but food was fresh and delicious. Their garlic naan was amazing. Biryani dish was fabulous as well as the curries—we got a lamb and chicken one. Meat was very tender and curry was well seasoned. Lighten up on the spice level because it’s South Indian hot! The menu looks pretty solid so I’m sure you’ll get great food no matter what you choose.

I had a good time with my wife here on valentine’s day. Godavari serves typically Indian food. Special DOSA was superb and portion is huge and can fill ones tummy fully. Veg Manchurians were Good, also there were a lot of chicken varieties which is too good try and the portions also is more for a single person. Superb Indian food, with nice ambience & very friendly customer service. Maintaining full hygiene for Covid-19 with safe distance seating arrangement. During this pandemic time, these people did their best to keep the place clean and safe for Customers to visit. Food taste is awesome and yummy. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They do also hear you and provide suggestion for food which is best my kids. They do server chocolate Dosa which kids love to have. Their ambience is great. And also, the hospitality and service is pretty good. The Naan are freshly prepared and are soft also. I recommended tandoori chicken We loved their food. We always get good customer service there. The place is well kept, and the front desk are always welcoming. Keep up the good work. We can even order from menu, if we are not interested in buffet. Post my visit it was immediately added into my restaurant list for dinning out. I would give it 5 stars!

We came here for our date night and everything from the menu, service and ambience is tastefully planned. We opted for the veg tasting menu and that has quite a huge variety of dishes, with each one presented beautifully from the next with exquisite taste. The spiciness was just perfect, we were absolutely lost in the experience of each dish, with the staff being very courteous and polite. They also can customize the few options in the menu to be vegan which is commendable. We would come here again another time to try the new menu, we loved our experience here.
