Plaza Mexico

Was referred to check out this place for the first time, for their food. Looked clean, has a friendly atmosphere. Quick service to bring chips and salsa. Asked for the hottest salsa, the busser forgot to bring it. Had to ask again when food order was brought to the table. Ordered the beef burrito along with chimmi chunga beans and rice platter. Just about half way into my plate the busser cleaned up the table close to us with a strong pungent cleaning agent. Had to ask for a Togo box. The manager apologized and gave us both half price for the meals. Be willing to try them again. Wish the restaurants of Marshall town would understand that want to smell the authinniciesty of their food. Not the smell/taste of their bathroom cleaners in the air.

I had a chicken sandwich. the bun was a stale, toasted bun so hard I couldn't penetrate it with my fork or knife.I was not asked how my meal was while dining. I told the cashier about the sandwich and he asked if half price would be OK? I still paid at least $12. I did have a lemonade but no refills were offered and when I asked at the cashier he said answered to the question, "did they offer refills" ,so it must have cost at least $3.

Out of all the years that I've lived in Marshalltown, I have never been to this restaurant, and I regret it! Great helpful staff, smiles on their faces, clean environment, tends to your restaurant experience by adding great costumer service, and the food was so delicious, I recommend anyone trying it if you have not been here! This place is fabulous!! I absolutely love Plaza Mexico! Keep up the amazing work!!
