Excellent appetizers! Had the goat cheese with crackers and the salmon spread. Delicious. Great atmosphere, great staff. Had the Italian sodas, recommend the lemon. My friends thoroughly enjoyed the wines.

Val always makes our experience so enjoyable. The service was over-the-top tonight. We visited for my husband's birthday, as he took a break from combining corn, and she surprised him with birthday cookies and the whole room sang him happy birthday. Thank you so much!

Very relaxing atmosphere. The ladies that waited on us were most social which is always enjoyable when you're going into a new place. We are from a few hours away but would certainly travel this way again and stop. Their food pairings look very delicious

Lively and warm, like a party in a country wine cellar, Tannin is one of those places you instantly fall in love with. With live music filling the air, smiles and laughter spread through the room. A thoughtful and varied selection of wine, is complemented by a menu of craft beers sure to quench your thirst for something different. The locals love it as regulars are abundant, and its easy to understand why. The entire staff will make you feel like you've been coming there for years on your first visit. A must if you are visiting the Marshalltown area

I took my wife to Tannin for the final stop on our date night. I was very impressed by the selection, the quality, they service/staff, and the cleanliness! We will definitely return, and invite guests! Perhaps next time I will get photos to share.

What a wonderful experience! At Tannin, you will probably be welcomed by owners Mary and Ray Curley or one of their well trained, very friendly staff members.
Start with a glass of wine, of course, and pair it with a ciabatta bread board, cheese board or my personal favorite: Crostini garnished with quark (like a soft and creamy cream-cheese, only better), fig and prosciutto.
