Pizzatoka

I once left a really good 5 star review for this place but I need to amend it now. I stopped by the store today after being in Ukraine for the last 2 months working as a combat medic, but everything has changed there. It was once a great place to come to but now absolutely not. 1. Evelyn the proprietor of the store didn’t acknowledge me at all and ignored me in front of customers, those customers saw this and were visibly shocked and obviously uncomfortable 2. Evelyn was also rude to customers while I was in the store. One of them even mentioned to me that she was becoming more smart mouthed everyday 3. There was dust everywhere, hanging from the signs, in the exhaust hood over the cooking area, and even in the old cigarette racks 4. The pizza section of the store is not operating regularly and the store itself is barely stocked which leads to a general lack of customers 5. The lack of sanitation plus the lack of products plus the lack of human dignity towards the customers shown by the staff is also a big drawback for this place which is probably why its for sale

Yesterday was my first time trying their pizza, my g-d it was amazing. Perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor!! I usually come to see a friend of mine who works here and I normally get one of my friends burgers ( they are huge but out of this world ) :). Its the perfect place to get lunch and to hangout. Go see Evelyn, she will whip up some magic for your tastebuds!!!!

At far as pizza goes, I think they only make pizza at lunch time, but its hit or miss. The pizza i had was pretty good. As far as a convenience store goes, the shelves are mostly empty and a 12 pack of beer costs as much as a 24 pack anywhere else, i understand the "convenience" aspect, but I'm not an alcoholic.

Pizzatoka was a really pleasant surprise. I was expecting to find cheap frozen pizza, and instead was treated to a perfect, hand-made, thin crust, wood oven fired pizza! This small family-owned business provides a comfortable casual indoor seating to enjoy your pizza (or sandwiches, fries, etc) and they're really nice and friendly people. Telephone ahead if you want your pizza ready for pickup (no delivery), or just drop in to buy a slice...cool place!
