Mackie's Pizza

Food was decent however it was a horrible experience and we won’t be returning. Hostess was on her phone the entire time. I asked for a fork and she told me that’s not her job! And then I could hear her yelling from the back at our poor server to get us one when she could have easily just grabbed a fork as he was serving food to another table. I was SO shocked when she looked at me and said that. I managed a restaurant for 5 years and I can tell you I have never experienced anything as unprofessional as this place. For one, she was dressed in a crop top, sweat pants, and had some very dirty white sneakers on, and her hair looked like it hadn’t been washed for weeks. I worked at a very casual, laid back restaurant and even we had hygiene expectations and dress codes. This used to be my family’s tradition to meet here for dinner but unfortunately after this experience we will no longer be coming back. I scrolled through a few other previous reviews and it looks like this isn’t the first time this has happened. It’s a shame to see management isn’t doing anything about this. Oh! And on our way out a gentlemen walked up to the host stand and asked where to find his pick up order and she looked at him and said “I don’t know” then proceeded to look down at her phone. He was very confused and eventually found his way to the next counter. Almost unbelievably poor service at this point.

The pizza was good, it wasnt the best but it wasnt bad. They used tomato paste it was a tad to thick for the thin pizza crest. The crest of the pizza could have used some flavoring. Some cheese or turning it into garlic bread or something to add some flavor could have went a long way. The service wasnt the best we got sat down fast but then i think they forgot about us, the fanily next to use(about 8 people) got there order taken maybe 5 mins seating down. Will my party(2 others) had already waited for 15mins. The atmosphere was great the layout and the decorations was pretty amazing.

The food was decent. The wait staff was horrible! The hostess was wearing a crop top and jeans and wouldnt get off her phone. Our waitress only came to the table twice. Once for the order and once for food. Our drinks tasted like bleach water. We could see the kitchen staff having a soap and water fight. We will not be going back.

My husband and I ordered a thin crust pizza and a side salad.The side salad was basically shredded iceberg lettuce from a bag with a few mushy tomatoes. The salad dressing came in a packet that was thrown on top of the salad. The thin crust pizza we ordered was burnt around the edges and didn’t seem to have any sauce on it and A very sparse Amount of ingredients . I’m not one to write negative reviews but I felt this one was Necessary.

Our pizza was good however service was lacking. Reservations were called in before noon but upon arrival, we were told there were none made by manager John. He rudely reacted to our group of 20 that our presence was nothing more than an aggravation. No apologies, no attempt at trying to accomodate.... refused to allow our party to sit in the (empty) area that was told would be available on the phone. (The restaurant was empty with the exception of a group party in the party room and two other tables in the main dining area.) I guess they had all the business they cared to have... Point well taken....
