Just discovered this restaurant on Lincoln Blvd that has been there for a decade. Going in thru an art studio into the back patio this place has its charm. Really loved fried calamari and the veal with lemon sauce. Portions are on a big side. Service is kind and attentive. Owner is very friendly. Good selection of wines as well. Glad I found it.
What a delightful dining experience for a Mother's Day brunch. People here are very friendly and the food is excellent.
The outdoor dining patio is cute with good vibes. With the LA sun, we really enjoyed the outdoor dining environment.
This is our first time here. For Mother's Day, the restaurant offers a special brunch/lunch menu. The vino selection is extensive. We had a glass of Chardonnay to go with our food. Delectable wine paired perfectly with our seafood meal.
Although this is our first time here, we were impressed with the food. The calamari appetizer was extraordinary. The batter on the calamari was flaky and crispy. We loved it.
The main dishes were fabulous. For the Linguine Alla Positano and the Branzino, the flavor and the texture of the pasta were amazing. These dishes were delicious.
Since we are in an Italian restaurant, a meal wouldn't be complete without a lasagna. The Lasagna Al Sugo Di Vitello at this restaurant with the brown meat and the red tomato sauce looked mouth watering. The creamy cheese made this dish so yummy. We glad that we ordered it.
At the end of our meal, the restaurant gave my wife a red rose to wish her Happy Mother's Day. It was a perfect ending to our Mother's Day brunch.
The restaurant is intimate in its physical space so reservations obviously are a necessity. Even then you may have to wait a short bit because customers don't operate by reservation times. The service was pleasant and attentive, the menu is quite varied and the dishes for the most part are plentiful and quite good. The pasta seafood is beyond compare, and well worth its price point. Overall restaurant is a bit pricey for it's offerings, but they do have an extensive wine selection for those that enjoy. New York steak was grilled medium and full of flavor with excellent tenderness. The mini bombolone was excellent and surprisingly airy and delicious. The calamari was so light and perfectly fried with just the right seasoning with a side marinara that's drinkable. I think we would definitely visit again for a special occasion.
I've been going to this place for years and I still say this place has some of the best Italian food in the city. It's a perfect mix of rustic favors from the north and the simple, clean flavors of the southern Italian coast. The place itself is small, quaint and only has about a dozen tables, so do make a reservation. The service is spectacular and the whole experience was like dining at a place with Michilan Star. If you haven't been...go, if you haven't been in a while, the menu changes...make a reservation!
This place was better than I expected. I had been here a few years ago and hadn't returned. I'm glad I did. The food was good, generous portion of property cooked pasta. A little pricey, but it's that kind of neighborhood. Outdoor seating was quite pleasant.

This place has some downfalls, but overall it is quite nice. From the front, the restaurant isn’t very attractive, but the patio is pretty. The personnel is friendly and attentive, but the service overall isn’t super quick, but at the same time it is not drearily long. Most dishes we tried were delicious, especially the pastas. They are very well-cooked and served. In our opinion, Caprese and E Pere salad were quite plain, but still good. Caprese did not come with balsamic, which is quite unusual for Italian restaurants, and E Pere had very little amounts of sauce and salt. The ingredients in every dish are very fresh, though. Each portion was manageable and we enjoyed our time in this place. It is quite popular and while we have been dining, the patio filled completely. Definitely will come back for some more pasta!
Lots of reviews for Locanda Positano from people who make a point of leaving a lot of 3 star reviews. Highly recommend giving this place a try for yourself.
Quiet, tasteful and welcoming space. Seriously great food. Fantastic wine list. Awesome staff.
Great date spot or just a night to treat yourself.
Had the radicchio and braised pear salad, wild boar pappardelle, and braised lamb shank with saffron risotto.
Superb dining experience and it’s our new go-to Italian spot in MdR/Venice area.
This nice and small place with low light. There are about 20 seats in total. We ordered two appetizers, two dishes, and two deserts (kind of too much for a party of two ha).
Great food, great service. We didn't love our wines, but the appetizers and pasta were superb. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend the burrata!
Locanda Positano took me back to the small towns of Italy. Where the pride of family cooking in a intimate setting and great tasting wines are memories of younger days. Thanks for the great service and tasty cappuccino with our dessert
