Great classic dive bar. The brisket and chicken tacos were amazing, the salsa tasted super fresh too. Classic Texas beer selection, yuengling washed it all down well. This place probably holds so much untold history and is truly a gem. A refreshing break from all of the overpriced cocktail and boutique places nearby.

The Lost Horse, like most places in Marfa, is a cultural curiosity. One visit is not enough to understand the vibe of the place and to feel is one belongs there or not. Given the limited number of options in Marfa, as a business owner I can't imagine there's much opportunity to identify who your target market is. Marfa bars are like airport bars. Everyone is there because they're just hanging around for whatever reason brought them to town.

I was driving from Oakland, CA to Miami, FL and passed by here with my lady. Small town very cool feel. The Saloon was a VIBE and had the BEST NACHOS IVE EVER HAD!!! The cook and bartender were hella cool people. Cook guy was funny as hell too, good sarcasm 😂😂 highly recommend stopping by here, very chill spot!!!

Food was good and we were in need of something to eat in a time crunch. I have to give the 3 stars because of the cost of our food. Prices are quite high here, but I believe the reason behind this is to make up for not being open all week and their primary income is the tourists coming through in waves.

The horse ain't lost, it ran away. Walked in around 7:30ish on a Monday, approx 10 people inside. Wife and I sat at an open table, waited....nothing, at least 10 minutes. Two seats open up at the bar, moved to the bar....nothing. After 15 minutes total of not even a "I'll be right with you", we walked. Took my wife, business and money to the St. George.

The place is good for chilling out not for food and drinks. It's like the old saloons which you see in the movies. There is a long wait for food. They have some local beers to choose from. You get the beers pretty easily as the bartender has to just open it up but other drinks take time. We ordered a Southwestern chicken flat bread and three cheese flat bread. The food was okay-ish. But it took almost like forever for the food to come. The waitress we placed the order to was lost in her own world. The chef had to come out and check with us and then take the order again. The table next to us said they were waiting for 1 hr 15 mins for their food.
If you are staying near Marfa then there are very few options of food late at night and this places falls in that list of few places.

Campy little spot with outside seating and good food that they may or may not be out of. Liquor and beer choices. Solid dive bar for sure. Ask for karaoke as the locals get in-to-it!

Unpretentious and totally laidback. James, my S/O, and I have grown fond of playing billiards (cabin fever relaxant) over the past two years, and it's nice to know that we can walk in and start free games without the wait. Karaoke can get the place shaking on Saturday's with some pretty impressive, rookie vocalists. Beer and spirits are moderately priced and their short-order menu is sure to appease any pallate. We look forward to spending more time at our local watering hole as the business progresses with their improvements and new additions.
