Cafe Vesuvius

If I could give this place a 10 star review out of 5 I would have. These folks are awesome! They went above and beyond to make this delivery special. To make the long story short, we live in PA and today (6/7/20) would have been my nephews high school graduation. To celebrate our family had a “Zoom Graduation”. We wanted to make it special so at the last minute I had decided to order him a pizza and have it delivered to his house. I never expected how EXTRA-special Café Vesuvius made this pizza delivery! They accommodated my weird pizza order all the way from PA. I specifically asked them if they could write, “Happy Graduation…” (as pictured). You should have seen his face light up on the Zoom call… “there’s a man at the door with a pizza”. I hope in the near future I have the opportunity to dine at this restaurant . The customer service is exceptional and delivery timely. Though I did not have the chance to taste the pizza myself, judging by how quickly my nephew downed three pieces I would have to concur the that taste/flavor was equally exceptional…YUM! Thank You Café Vesuvius!

Pizza was way overcooked. Like close to inedible. Probably would be if I wasn't so hungry. Seriously lacking in the ricotta department. Called over 40min in advance on a Monday and had to wait for a burnt pizza. Usually much better pizza with decent servings of all additional toppings. Not tonight. I'm disappointed.

Don't go here hungry. The aroma when you enter makes you want to order everything on the menu. It was hard to wait patiently for my order though it was ready in no time. The Eggplant Parm sandwich on toasted thick Italian bread was tasty and big enough for two. The Greek Salad with chicken kebob was fresh, crispy and nicely spiced. Also big enough for two or three. Last, but not least the sweet potato fries were perfect. Cooked & salted just right. I was sorry I had to share. 😉

Not sure what I did, I was simply picking up a couple of pizzas. The person working the counter asked me if people shop anywhere else is town. i thought she was joking, so i laughed. She then turned to me and said, "No, that is a serious question" I responded that perhaps they are busier now that Romanos has closed. She said to me, can't people go to Dominos or out of town? Super rude! If they don't want my business, they won't get it. In times like these, they should be grateful for customers, not alienating them

I have had food from every fast food place in Marblehead, but never had been to this place, so I decided to try it. I spent $38 dollars there and when I went home to eat it I found that the pizza was burnt, the chicken fingers were over cooked and dried out, the fries were also overcooked and had so much salt on them that all I could taste was the salt. The bread on the Pastrami sandwich was stale. We forced ourselves to eat the pizza and chicken fingers even tho they did not taste good, and we only ate about 10 fries because the salting had over powered them, so I threw the rest out. I had to take the pastrami and put it onto fresh bread I had in my house so I could eat it. What I should have done is brought everything back there to show them how unhappy I was with all the food and got my money back. This was the first and last time I will ever go back there.
