Caffe Italia Trattoria & Bar

First time eating here at Caffe Italia Trattoria in Marblehead. Awesome experience. The atmosphere was perfect for anyone looking to have a cocktail and conversation with friends. Wait staff was friendly and on the ball. They knew everything that was in the dish you were ordering and was happy to explain it. The owner treated everyone as if they were his friend. Food was great. I highly recommend the Joel Roll for an appetizer. My husband had Haddock Francaise and said it was awesome. We will return. Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. What's not to like. Every time I've been there the owner greets us with a smile and doesn't mind if i want to move to another table other than the one she is leading us to. She's really good at making you feel welcome and checks to make sure that everything was good. 👍❤

The manager was very accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere was lovely. The waiter was a young guy and not very attentive. Had to continuously ask for more water which was essential because the shrimp scampi was extremely salty (made with water from the ocean?) The lobster ravioli was also salty but a little more tolerable, disappointed with the minuscule amount of lobster and cheese, the ravioli pasta was rolled too thick so really it was dough and salty tomatoes. The calamari fritti was absolutely wonderful though and I would have eaten two of those as appose to the entrees.
