We've driven past the charming location so many times saying, "We really need to try it!" before finally making reservations on a Sunday evening to take my parents there when they visited in November. We were all thoroughly delighted by every course -- not the least of which is arguably the broadest selection of Scotch anywhere outside of Scotland!
We returned a second time on a Thursday and enjoyed the live (Celtic? Gaelic?) folk music along with an equally delicious meal. Looking forward to catching the next Scotch tasting event.
One of the best meals I've had in a long time! Amazing shepherd's pie, delicious house salad, sticky toffee dessert to die for. And so reasonably priced we felt like we got a great deal! The waitress was great, brought us a side of asparagus, other attentive services. We loved the ambiance too. Just a fantastic experience and would highly recommend.
My husband and I went to dinner with friends and really enjoyed Little Traverse Inn. My dinner was very good, I had the salmon in phyllo dough with dill sauce and rice, delicious!! My only reason for not giving this restaurant 4 stars is the seating. We had to sit at a picnic table for a 3 hour dinner. There were regular tables too, but we were seated at a picnic table. Everyone’s back hurt at the end of dinner.
What an amazing place. It's cozy, the food was great, the staff was fabulous. Our room was simple, but extremely clean. Will definitely be staying there again.
This place is magical, especially in the winter, when things slow down and it’s warm and cozy inside. In the summer, the outdoor seating is wonderful and dog friendly. The LTI team goes above and beyond, and really cares about the Leelanau community.
Delicious food and great service. Interesting menu with a british flair. Enjoyed scotch egg, toad in a hole and the perch basket. Generous portions and wonderful desserts!
Dinner was a very pleasant surprise. We called and made reservations, just incase, it was a Monday night in October. Not a busy part of the season. When we arrived the parking lot was full, but they have ample overflow parking. We went inside and the dinning room and bar were full. 3 locals were playing guitar and singing, it was nice. Service was great, the place was hopping, even a little short staffed, but both the front and back of the house did an awesome job. I had the seafood pie, cod, shrimp and mashed potatoes with minted peas. My wife had the shepherd pie and both were very good. Both entries came with a house wedge salad with dried tomatoes and house made ranch, it too was surprisingly good. We shared the sticky chocolate pudding for dessert. Over the top, you need coffee with that
Charming, with a great front yard when the weather is good. Good food choices, with an interesting Indian twist. Enjoyable
Owner Grahm is a wonderful host. Waitstaff is very attentive and ambiance is comfortable inside or outside in the warmer months. Live music is always good! The authentic English pub is cozy and a great place to meet new friends while enjoying many different cocktails, on tap beers and high end liquor. The eastern Indian food is quite good and local fish nicely prepared.
We’ve driven past many times not realizing there is a great restaurant open within this inn. Won’t make that mistake again. Dinner was great, tough choices from an eclectic menu with English, Indian, and American choices, all good. Plenty left to try next time. And, next time we’ll save room for some awesome looking desserts.
Make sure to sample some of Graham’s curated Scotch…
Well worth the visit!
