We were fortunate to find this place after spending the afternoon on the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive. Even more fortunate that they took as walk-ins on a busy Saturday night. I had the duck and my partner had the trout. Both were fabulous. Our server, Kate if I remember well, could not have been more helpful or nice. We’re always happy when the service matches the food. We were visiting TC from Italy and here we felt as if we were back in Europe eating an exquisite meal in a nice countryside setting. If you’re in the TC area we highly recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed our third dinner at this fine restaurant and look forward to many more. The service is excellent, the food is divine, and the wine list has a wonderful variety. The proprietors are lovely and it’s a joy to get to chat with them! This is definitely my go-to spot for an incredible dining experience in the Traverse City area.

This place is a gem in the rough. Service, food, and drink was amazing with such attention to detail. Excellent wine selection and knowledgeable staff.
Very true to the feel and taste of country French cuisine. This was my first time here, and I'll be bringing people back to show off this restaurant as a good find. Highly recommend the pate' as an appetizer.

Une petite étoile dans le nord du michigan! We loved every bite and had a wonderful conversation with Chef Guillaume after dinner. Perfect food and service in the cutest little restaurant! We felt like we were in France again.

Everything was great. We loved everything here. The food, service, and wine were well worth it. Salmon was cooked, prepared, and presented A#1. The cheese plate was superb. Fresh bread went well with mussels and onion soup. Mushroom risotto was fabulous. Potatoes Au gratin deliciousness. Looking forward to getting another reservation soon!

Found La Becasse while on an extended weekend golf trip at Grand Traverse Bay Resort. What a find! Every aspect of the experience made our entire trip north worthwhile. The wine selection is vast, and our waiter helped us pick a perfect wine for our dinner. Appetizers of almonds and a cheese plate were surprisingly amazing, and we both discovered one of our new favorite cheeses! She had beef tenderloin and I had the veal and both were perfect. Dessert of the upside down apple tart and the pear tart coupled with a nice Sauterne made us never want to leave this area. Thank you to the wonderful staff and skilled chef for giving us such a fantastic evening!
