Great food made fresh! The falafel is made when you order it and it's the best we've ever had. Quality had been consistently good for the past four years we've been going here. Babaganoush, humus, pita, gyros,... all great! Best in the Springs and beyond!
By far the best falafel I've ever had, friendly service and good food!
Definitive value for money; great food for a good price with large portions. The service was amazing (thanks to Christina)!
We went veggie platter and mixed platter to share with one or each baklava to share. So much food we had to take some to go. Highlights were definitely hummus, pita bread, falafel and all the baklava.
Went here on a rainy Monday. Super friendly staff and very accommodating. They hustled to get tables in to accommodate guests that were outside when it started to rain. The food is delicious and the portions are large! Would highly recommend the veggie plate and the gyros. So the Sahara Gyro actually has multiple meats -beef, chicken and gyro meat! It is amazing! The fries were good but they were a little cold. Their baklava is to die for. Take your baklava and a coffee to go after you eat and stroll the town and enjoy the view of the river. As far as the ambience, it was nice. I love the lamps. I do wish they updated the decor a little bit. It’s a bit dated. And I also wish they had some really cool Middle Eastern music to go along with the food. But overall, loved it and we’ll be back!
I got the lamb gyro, so delicious. They put sumac on the outside of the pita. Don't think I had it like that before. Added extra flavor for sure.
For desert, they make their own baklava. Ordered my baklava, and Christina was kind enough to ask if I wanted extra honey on top. Oh my!! A fella can get spoiled like that real quick.
Thank you kindly for the great food and bless you for your awesome service service
Outstanding experience. The lamb shawarma was delicious and you got plenty of food at a great price. The Turkish coffee was an enlightening experience and now I want to start drinking it every day. The traditional baklava was flaky and sweet.
Our waitress, Kristina, was the real star of the show, though. She was busting her butt by herself at the front of the house getting a dinner rush served, and still managed to get everything out to patrons quickly. She even had some multilingual skills to accommodate the table near us.
Excellent falafel. Salad is marginal or I'd rate it a 5☆. Excellent hummus. Gluten free options even bread although I didn't eat it. I'm not a fan of sweeter tea, but the sage tea is nice on a hot day! Very tasty grape 🍃 leaves!
Nice cozy atmosphere. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. I had the chicken shawarma and dolmas
A Mediterranean respite along the Pike's Peak route. Whether you take the cogwheel train or drive it yourself, you'll like these homemade plates. A very quick kitchen. A few outside seats available. Hummus and dolma were spot on. Gyro Pita were delicious. Tabouleh was refreshing. Hint: try the sage tea -- sounds terrible, tastes delicious!
Honestly I was so pleasantly suppressed by the food here. Place from the outside doesn’t look like much but the food is amazzing!! Ordered the chicken shurma sandwich and it was one of the best I have ever had ver had. The sauce they use is special. Also ordered a special tea they have and that was amazing. The service was lightning fast and Sabrina our server was awesome polite, witty and on top of everything. Highly recommend eating here when you are in the area!
The Sahara Cafe caught my eye while driving through town so I dropped in for a late lunch. I wasn’t sorry for stopping. They have an extensive menu that covers a wide range of Mediterranean specialties. I can personally attest to the great taste of their lamb gyro.
Very nice family and budget friendly find. The food was wonderful. There was a little wait, but they took our number so we could check out a few more shops while we waited.
