Some issues .... One would think that the Lasagna would be available at an Italian restaurant. Nope. 45 minute wait. So, they offered a different dish, but it was a spicy one, so the waitress offered to have them use a mild sausage.
It came with spicy sausage. Not good.
Here's where it got better. When the waitress asked how the dish was, we discussed the still spicy (too much for my wife) sausage, and she went and got the manager. They comp'd it.
And better ... it was my wife's birthday, as I had let the waitress know. Instead of bringing the small cake (which for the 5 of us would have been just fine, especially since it was a freebie from a coupon), they brought out the Big Dish. I have no idea what they call it, but it resembled the Ziggy Piggy from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure! AND we had a $20 off coupon for the birthday, with the free desert (which was awesome!)
Overall, despite a few issues, they made an amazing effort to make up for it. The pizza was great, as was the bread and wine, so we had a great evening!
Note - not everything a restaurant does is perfect. Point it out. This place did a really amazing job at making up for it, and that's a hallmark of a great restaurant. Needless to say, the waitress (who was really attentive through the whole meal) got an over 25% tip. With what we got as extras, plus the discount birthday coupons, we still spent less than what the menu called for.
Highly recommended. :D
We went for my Partner Stephen‘s birthday dinner. Our server Geoff was very knowledgeable and nice. The food was exquisite! We had shrimp Diablo, Caesar salad and cheese garlic bread. The cheese garlic bread was so delicious, it had melted cheese on it for this I highly recommend. We had the brownie dessert with six scoops of ice cream. That was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a great experience!
