Absolutely incredible!!!
For starters this place is vegetarian only, HOWEVER, don’t let that scare you away from this gem!
The inside of this place is stunningly gorgeous with plenty of room for any size party. No the food doesn’t have meat and it doesn’t need it, the meat substitutions are plenty between the potatoes, fried eggplant, etc.
the flavor was incredible and prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of food you get as well.
If your looking for the cheap $6 buffet this place is not for you but if your looking for flawless traditional Indian food you’ve made the right choice, this place will knock your socks off.
I found this place opened recently around a month and wanted to give a try. This is a Indian vegetarian restaurant in the interior of Maineville. The menu has all usual Indian breads and entrees which you can lookup in the website. The food was yummy and we were so satisfied with the taste and spice level.
We ordered Shahi Paneer and Naans and Aloo Paratha with Gaajar Halwa. Man! That was one of the best I had here in Maineville. I just loved the food here. The service was good and I am sure this is going to be the best Indian Vegetarian restaurant in this area. I thanked and appreciated the food with lady who serviced us. I think there are no non-veg options here but may be they might expand their menu. But this shouldn't stop you from going to this place as you would still love the veg food here.
Good ambience and seating. We are planning to visit this place more often for good veg food.
I recommend this place.
Ok. I’m just a novice Indian food connoisseur. And I do not eat spicy food. I went to Klair’s with three others who are experienced with Indian food and all three gave their entrees a five out of five. I loved the flavors of my entree (I don’t remember the name but pictured here, mushrooms with spinach served with rice) and since you can pick 1-6 for the heat level, I picked 0.5 and it was lovely. The Naan breads are definitely fantastic. Yes, I will go back.
The food and service were great. We had the chicken tandor and garlic naan (pictured). Im rating the food and service 5 stars but they definitely could improve a few things. The outside lighting at night makes it hard to tell if they are actually open. The seating is chic bistro but feel a warmer family vibe would be better suited to the food. Warmer wood interiors and accents would help the space a lot it felt a little open and cold. We will definitely be back though to try more dishes. The last thing I wanted to mention is the dishes are huge and easy to share. I recommend planning to share entrees and apps.
My wife were excited when we saw an Indian place coming to the area. I've had Indian food a few times and have always liked it but never had access to one most of the time. We ended up stopping in for lunch and were slightly scared because we were the only ones there. This changed however as we ate, 5-6 different tables came in as well.
Klairs is an Indian restaurant with a pretty huge menu, like 7-8 pages. It offers a bit of everything but the one thing they don't offer is meat. And this is one of the reasons I dropped a star on the review. The fact that it's not shown or advertised anywhere as being only vegetarian made me feel almost trapped when I found out after we were seated. Now don't get me wrong, what we ended up getting was GREAT. I'm glad we didn't leave. But I think they should be upfront with their customers. It'd be like going a McDonalds, knowing you're going to get a burger, getting up there and ordering only to realize after you take your food to the table it's a vegetable patty instead of meat. Even if it might taste good, it's not exactly what you were hoping for when you arrived or were craving. Feels like a bait and switch.
Now I did mention that I really enjoyed the food, and I did. Instead of having chicken in the Tikka Masala they put cheese chunks to keep it vegetarian. The cheese almost has the same consistency as the chicken would have had. I think one of the best parts of the meal was the Naan. They are absolutely massive and amazing for dipping in the great sauces Klairs serves. Since we went for lunch we got a double order of garlic naan for free and we only ate half of it because there was so much. SO GOOD.
If you like Indian food, try Klairs. It IS vegetarian but don't like that fool you or scare you into not trying it. We will be back. It's a great place but once again, I just wish they would be more upfront about what it is. I know why they didn't, but I still feel tricked even though I loved it.
Love this place and great addition to our community. Food always freah and so good! Pictured is Tandori Chicken which is enough to share or leftovers. Naan bread is Ah-mazing. Also, good Saag Paneer, Veggie Korma and Lamb Curry
This is a pure veggie restaurant.. to start with, tea was good.. we ordered one veg platter which was decent.. in entree we ordered paneer makhani, dal and vegetable mango.. everything was served hot and complimentary garlic nan was a bonus.. p.s. spiced onion was awesome..
Traditional indian cuisine but without the heaviness. Soooooo good! We really enjoyed that paneer tikka. Really cool space too.
Life Changing Experience!!!
We were surprised on our first visit that they didn't serve meat or beer. They eventually plan to offer both but we stuck around and tried some vegetarian dishes. We were blown away by the flavor. My wife and I have eaten at dozens of Indian places but nobody can match the quality you find here. The food here is so much more flavorful, complex, and vibrant! The staff are super friendly and give excellent recommendations. We've been back multiple times with friends and family and everyone LOVES this place. That's pretty impressive for a place that doesn't serve meat! I love this place so much it prompted me to reduce my meat consumption by half.
The lamb saag and paneer naan is out of this world, and my friend said their tikka masala is the best she's ever had!
