Crowe's Open Air Bar-b-que

Stopped in today because I've been craving some GOOD barbeque. They didn't disappoint at all. The sauce was really good and the meat was perfect. The owner heard me talking about how good it is and he let me try the ribs....GOOD LAWD. The food here is amazing. Thank God I finally got a local place that knows how to cook BBQ.

Great local barbecue joint. Everyone has a favorite and as seen by the stream of people coming in, this is a local favorite. We had a pulled pork and a rib plate. All the sides and the pulled pork were great. The ribs had an overly smoky flavor which some people like. The sauces were limited to a vinegar base sauce. Service (cafeteria style) was “Madison friendly” and the staff seemed to know just about everyone. Prices are very good especially if you pay cash and get an additional 5% off. Dining is casual and fun to look at the memorabilia on the walls. Definitely worth the stop.

Brunswick stew the best I've had(better than in Brunswick ) nice smoky flavor, great ice tea and pickles. Vinegar sauce good but pulled pork left me wanting more flavor and it's more of a shredded pork. staff was very polite. 3rd try. Ribs are great. Brunswick still the best. Chicken was ok. 4rth time. in on a tuesday. 5 stars goes to 3. Ribs are salty and dry today. Feel like its saterdays leftovers. Ill only get the stew in the future.
