Dairy Queen

I've been to this place now twice, both times to get a birthday cake. The first time I had to wait an extra hr for my cake the day I was told I could pick it up. The second time the cake was ready, but decided to have lunch there. Decided on the chicken sandwich, which looked good on the board. Picture showed whole patty of chicken. What I got was 5 small pieces spread out on the bun. When I complained that that was not what their picture showed, they were rude. From comments I've seen from others, seems the business doesn't seem to care who they hire, let alone if their staff is courteous to customers. Where I used to live, the Dairy Queen staff were totally awesome and I went all the time! But the one on Cottage Grove Rd I'll never go back there again. Done.

Has to be one of the worst Dairy Queens there are. I debated adding a star to this review but I can't bring myself to do it. The food has never been a problem for me here. When I've been served it's the delicious treat you would come to expect from a Dairy Queen. Getting the food is a completely different story. I think I have visited this Dairy Queen five or six times in the last four years. One time I recall waiting in a long line for an outrageous amount of time. Nobody was getting anything complicated, so it was baffling what took so long. That experience is only if you are lucky enough to get in the building. I'd say 3 or 4 of the other times I have gone to this location they were closed an hour to an hour and a half early based on the times that are posted on their door. I've been fooled too many times by this location. Chances are they are not even open when they say they will be. I won't be back.

Closes way too early. Just stopped in today at 7:15p and they locked the doors are 7:20p. Last few times I came around 8 only to find them closed...why? Several items on the menu said sold out. Also there is no attempt to even create the Dairy Queen swirl in the top. I worked at this location in the early 90s and it was made very clear that every treat had to have the swirl in top. It's taking an interest and pride in your work. There was no leadership in the crew so no one really knew how customer service works or how to take pride in the work you do. Can't really blame the young staff if they aren't being trained like that. If the owner has no interest in being in the fast food industry, please sell to someone who enjoys running a DQ and is willing to stay open in the summer and keep items stocked.

I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter's birthday 2 days before the event. Went to pick up the cake and the store was not open at 2pm. No note on the door, no phone call. Had to go to a grocery store to grab another cake during the birthday party. Manager was not very friendly about it and didn't really care. Have heard this happens often with this store. Won't be going back!!

This place is a disgrace to the franchises name!!!! Filthy, disgusting, gross! I don't think anything on that table is been washed in the Years!!! this was the first time we took the kids to a Dairy Queen. I don't think my kids will ever want to go to another. This place should close down for a week, do a deep, deep, deep clean and reassess how they want to run there business. There were two teenagers and a manager working when we went. One teenager was on break one teenager was made to cook the entire Rush while the manager said in the back doing nothing. the only reason I know there was a manager there is because once in a blue moon she would pop up to yell at the teenagers not to help even though she could clearly see the lines of people needing to be helped or backing up and people were walking in and walking back out because there was such a wait. Wow

Because of seeing other reviews I was hesitant in going here. But after going and getting over $30 worth of food for my gf and I. I can say the other reviews may be outdated because we had a fantastic experience. The service was good. The food tasted great. The only complaint would be how little staff there were, it took a long time to get the food, only one girl was making the food (she did an excellent job) and the guy was making the treats also an excellent job. I got the Chocolate Extreme Blizzard and it was mixed well and tasted great. Overall a fantastic experience and will be going there again.

The restaurant looked closed, half of the lights were out and there was nobody at the counter. When we ordered the counter guy didn't ask if it was to go. Then he said they were out of large cups. What restaurant runs out of large cups? We asked for a medium. We sat down and they brought the food in bags but no drink. We had to ask twice for the drink and then again for a straw. After not getting the straw we realized there were no napkins anywhere to be found in the store. You get the picture. Don't go to this place. I'm sure you can do better
