I ate breakfast and lunch here for 8 years while I worked at Madison Plumbing. I love this place. The food is always spot on fresh. The salads perfection, sandwiches delicious. The staff courteous and fun. I miss it all now that I am 3 hours away. I will come and visit.
Had an excellent turkey sub and my wife had a crisp cold salad with turkey. Excellent service and very reasonable prices👍
Great subs AND really good pizza. We live in Basking Ridge and my teenage son said he'd prefer to live here in Madison so that we can eat here all the time.
All roads lead to Ralph's place. If you need a local plumber, carpenter, painter or landscaper; if you need your driveway paved, or your roof repaired, or if you need some junk hauled away, come to Main Street Subs for early breakfast (between 6 and 8). Ask anyone sitting down and eating -- either they're the person you want, or they know when the person will be there, or they'll give you that person's phone number. Just about everybody who sweats for a living starts the day here.
They come here because the food comes fast and fresh and tasty. Best of the best? The NJ staple, taylor ham egg and cheese on a hard roll. (Salt, pepper ketchup? You bet!)
Subs galore, all neatly numbered and up on the wall so you can change your mind instantly -- Number 4, wait! Number 6! No cheap cold cuts here, all top of the line; they even have about 6 different kinds of turkey, but the best turkey is the one they cook right there.
I went here for the first time today. As I was waiting for the sandwiches I got curious about the sausage and peppers and decided to get them. As i asked the gentleman about how to cook them, after telling how to, he went in and got me some warm sauce to cook with. His colleague then gave me a nice warm loaf of bread to eat with it!! All without asking!! Of course the sandwiches went into the refrigerator and the family had a nice meal of sausage and peppers with garlic bread!!! The gratitude for a simple and delicious meal was heartfelt because of the gesture showed by gentlemen!
This is old school! Where restaurants and food places don't sell the food but feed you🙏 I truly hope that this tradition doesn't die and revives!!
Great subs, we love the turkey and cheese, turkey avocado - bread is really good and all the ingredients are fresh. My kids also like the cheese pizza. Its a great spot to go after swim at YMCA or before going to the Madison pool.
Local family owned place. Great sandwiches (#6 is my fav), check out the sloppy joes (roast beef recommended) and nothing wrong with a Taylor ham , egg and cheese either.
I have always loved this place and they make the best sandwiches. Whenever I’m in town I make it a point to stop for a turkey sloppy Joe. How could I not? Just look at it 🤤🤩😍

Best subs in Morris County! The bread is soft and they stuff the sandwiches perfectly. Their staff is friendly and they have pretty much anything you can think of there from soups to ice cream! I grew up in Morristown and would frequent there. I’ve since moved out of state but when I do visit I make sure this is on my list of places to hit up while in town!
Nice sun shop, clean and has seats and parking in back. Needs a lil more meat but nice bread and staff
Ate here today with my daughter and my grandson who told us about this place. The Philly cheese steak sub was delicious the bread was so soft the mushrooms peppers and onion the steak was right on point. The staff were so Pleasant. We will be back. Thank you Main Street submarine.
I got the hot eggplant parmigiana sub. It was delicious and there was a lot off eggplant. By the time I got to where I was going it was still hot. I will definitely eat there again if I’m in the area
