Had a fantastic experience at this beer spot near Mackinac City! 🍻 The beer menu might be limited, but the quality is top-notch. Surprisingly, the food options were limited too, but what they offered was absolutely delicious. The patio, complete with a bonfire area, made for a cozy evening. Ample free parking and quick, friendly service sealed the deal for us. A hidden gem worth checking out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Suggestion: Wish they had more sharable food options, would make this place more amazing.
We came here in September 2023. We were choosing between this and another called the Rusty Spoke or something. Chose this for the Belgian beer. So glad we did.
The beer was good, but the atmosphere and the food were amazing. We went in the evening. They had strings of lights out, lots of places to sit, some lawn games, and even a large fire pit to sit at. We talked with another couple while we ate and drank.
We got the Smoked Whitefish Spread and I think we got the brisket. Both were amazing.
We would definitely recommend this place.
Probably the best sandwich we've had. Great food, nice service, everyone was friendly. We ate outside the first time we went and inside tonight and both were nice and surprisingly peaceful for a brewery.
We shared the tapanad crostini and each had a sandwich and couldn't finish it all! Everything appears to be homemade and it's all fantastic.
Order at the bar, so service could be more but for that quality food, I'm not complaining!
The best food i had in mackinaw city! The shiitake mushroom crostini and the pursuit of happiness made me do a little dance of excitement! The food here is amazing! I cant wait to come back! Also, i am not a beer drinker but the one in here really satisfied me! This place it’s a must visit!!!!
About a mile & a half from downtown Mackinaw City, this brewery has a welcoming outdoor space. The beers are pretty good and come in some unique styles ( a Latvian farmhouse ale was interesting). I might have enjoyed them more if they weren't in plastic cups. The food was excellent: we had a delicious smokey, spicy brisket sandwich and a flavorful Italian panini. We had a pleasant chat with the owner and encourage others to check this place out.
Do yourself a flavor and try the Apple Beet Cider!!! What a great place with a killer vibe! Looking forward to summertime outside! The beers were great and the food was amazing….we will be returning!!!! Again and again and again!!

n town for the week so I stopped in yesterday...my fifth brewery during my stay and beer tender Max ran away w the medal for my favorite!! As I approached the bar I asked Max what I ask every beertender "for what's on tap, what's your go-to?" Max replied w not one but three beers. I instructed him to go ahead and begin my flight w those three. I added the HIGH ABV Devil's Kitchen and Blanche De Ranville. During my tasting I brought up a beer I had tried in another state, prompting Max to ask brewer, Matt who was sitting across the tap room his thoughts on it? Matt eventually came up to the bar so I began to bend his ear about beer styles and such, so this visit just kept getting better as I love discussing beer and breweries!! I approve of them having so many standard height tables and they all have the comfy leather chairs but the wheels are removed and replaced w felt on the bottom so when you slide them around it's not like nails on a chalkboard!! Later a fellow came from the back (flagging me that he's "somebody") and was talking to Matt & Max, he eventually went behind the bar for a beer so I jokingly exclaimed "wait we can pour our own beers?!" Dan replied w a "one of the perks of being an owner" ha. Biere De Mac covers all the bases: friendly owner, friendly and knowledgeable brewer, delicious beer, comfortable and spacious tap room, easy parking and there are probably a plethora of words to describe Max so I'll have to narrow it down to... friendly, knowledgeable, charismatic, I guess just easy to talk to. Before departing I asked Max if there was any other beer I should try? He poured me a taste of the Le Breze Pils, and it was refreshingly light. The brewery wasn't all that busy on a late Friday afternoon which worked in my favor as I got to discuss beer, breweries, and the local scene w Max; which the great conversation kept me there well after finishing my flight. Max falls right in to my brewery hard & fast rule: no matter how good the beer is, 90% of why I come back, or stay so long is because of who's behind the bar, thanks Max for quality conversation. Max and Biere De Mac THANK YOU for such an enjoyable and memorable Michigan brewery experience!! Definitely don't skip on visiting Biere De Mac for a delicious & jovial good time, cheers!

We went again last night for dinner before going to the dark skies park near-by. Tried the brisket sandwich this time and it was freaking amazing. The wife and I both got beers this time and OMG... where the HELL has their farmhouse ale 🍻 been all my adult life? Just a really great joint! 🤩

Quaint little brewery and restaurant outside Mackinaw City.
Got the herb roasted pork sandwiches and homemade kettle chips which were fantastic! 😋 Also tried the shiitake mushroom crostini which was very good. 🤤
Had our 7 year old standard poodle with us and he was able to be in their large and shaded outdoor beer 🍻 garden.
Highly recommend stopping and trying their food... it's been the best tasting restaurant food we've had during our month-long stay in the area. 👍🫶
What was supposed to be a quick stop on a short road trip has turned into a new favorite spot. We got a flight of beers (5) based on those that intrigued us most. I ended up with the old world cider and my spouse got the Bateau Brown. We each left with a half growler.
What has no business being as good as it is-the food. I got a salami mushroom cheddar Panini with kettle chips. My spouse got their brisket sandwich. I was happy with my meal, but insanely jealous after he let me have a bite.
The staff was friendly and helpful. We saw what seemed like a very friendly atmosphere.
Can't wait for our next excuse to visit.

Although not a fan of craft beer, my group and I decided to visit this establishment due to our proximity to it while camping near the area. Unfortunately, the Canadian wildfires made it difficult to enjoy Lake Huron, so we sought refuge at this place to soak up some sun and unwind with some beer.
Upon arriving, we soon discovered that we needed to place our orders at the bar. Wanting to try a variety of their drinks, we opted for flights. As someone who doesn't typically enjoy craft beer, my favorite drink was the Beet Hard Cider. We also ordered some mustard pretzels and spicy mix to snack on while testing the flights.
Afterwards, we debated on whether or not to order food and ultimately decided on the whitefish spread and shiitake mushroom crostini. While I was approaching the bar to place our order, the bartender appeared with the whitefish spread and claimed that it was our order, even though we had yet to order it. I told him that we would gladly accept it if he couldn't locate the intended customers, and he gave it to us. The bread was fresh and hot out of the oven!
Next, we decided to split the Montreal Meat Sammie and the Herb Roasted Pork Sammie. Although they were delicious, they weren't especially memorable. Overall, the establishment was clean, the staff was friendly, and the outdoor area was enormous, offering games such as cornhole and live bands at night. If you happen to be in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by.
