So Far So Good

This is a well-kept old-school Chinese/Japanese food restaurant. The dining room is large with very pretty decor featuring paper lanterns and soft lighting. The service was perfect! The waiter brought over a pot of tea, water, and fried noodles right away. Took our orders promptly. The lunch specials had generous portions and were delicious! I had beef and broccoli with brown rice. My husband had eggplant and zucchini in garlic sauce. The prices were also great. There were many vegetarian options as well. If you are in the area, this place is highly recommended.

Hospitality Hospitality Hospitality... what I'm trying to say is So Far So Good is Excellent at the Hospitality Factor. Every time I go here, solo, with a friend, or as a group, it's like they were expecting you, they make you feel special and not in a fake way. Tonight was really busy, and I was solo, which means every table is better served for a couple or groups, but I was never made to feel like I wasn't just as important. Now, the food is always fresh, hot, and delicious. Tonight I tried the Peking Duck and a roast pork appetizer. Forgot to take pics 📸 😳🤦🏾‍♂️ Everything was as stated before... delicious. Went for lunch. The decor is awesome and the service is really good too. The food was okay. My favorite part was the duck sauce and the fried wonton chips they give you to munch on. Egg roll was freshly made. The food was okay it would’ve been a 5 but the fried rice is premade so it was cold. Other than that the service was on point.

Food so good but not so good service. Sushi appetizer brought out with main course. They ran out of fried rice so shrimp and lobster sauce combination was brought without the fried rice and got cold waiting over five minutes waiting for the kitchen to cook more fried rice: They definitely need more servers.

The food is absolutely the best Chinese food around. Best Young Chow fried rice in life. True authentic flavor, meats are succulent. You get what you pay for and the food is very pricey but worth it. However expensive they are, they are not in the habit of giving out freebies like most other Chinese restaurant establishments. You can spend well over $100 on take out and they won't even throw in a free bag of fried noodles. One time they delivered my food to an incorrect address. I had to wait THREE HOURS for my food. All I got was 'sorry, I'm sure you understand", no soda, no free food, no noodles, NADA!!! I guess they are successful not only because the food is great but because they are cheap to their customers

Seen this place across the street when i was at cold stones. Told the wife lets try it out sometime. Later in the week we went. Nice atmosphere and serviers were nice and polite. Food came out fast and hot. Eggrole tasted bland, chicken fried rice was good, general taos shrimp and chicken was good, chicken with shrimp in garlic sauce was good, the pan fried chicken dumplings were not so good. Too much dough wraped up around the chicken. Overall it was not bad. I do see myself going back to try other dishes.

Didn't know what to expect. But this place surprised me. The food, I had ribs and fried rice and 2 egg rolls, that's right 2 egg rolls. And let me tell you, the food was out of this world. The food came to our table very hot and the portions were very large. The service was good enough for me. The prices was reasonable. I love this place and will be going back there again.

This is a do not miss in Lynbrook. Great food and great staff. They have very good lunch specials that comes with a choice of appetizer like soup or an egg roll. Unlike many other places, the choice for the lunch special is vast. The ambiance is old school Chinese restaurant but it is very clean. I love that they give you tea and fried noodles.
