I always open a night at a bar with a Long Island, and how well it is made will dictate how many drinks I will order and how much I trust the bartender to make what I ask for correctly. If they go overboard on something, or forget something, I can tell.
So I said to the bartender "gimme a long island, man". He brought me back a Manhattan. Worst Long Island I have ever had. An OK Manhattan, though the well whiskey he put in it was certainly holding it back.
I liked the atmosphere here, and I forgive the bartender for mishearing me over the live music although he didn't offer me a refund when I explained what happened.
I'd go back here for sure. The bar itself is arranged very nicely and the selection they have is commendable. I like that the interior is wide open with plenty of seating both at the island style bar and tables.
One of the best fish and chips plates I've ever had. The menu items are a fusion between Mexican and Irish cuisine. And they have a rotating selection of cold beer on tap. What more could you want from a pub?
