A hidden gem off Brownsboro in the Clifton Heights area. Easily one of the top five donut shops in all of Louisville. The donuts are light and airy without being greasy. Lots of fun flavors and they add the filling right then and there when you order. Great donuts, great service. Highly recommend!
I am having trouble being objective about this because the donuts are so good! I like to think I have tried some of the best donuts in the world after traveling all over it. We always search for something local and when we found Clifton, we knew we had found some place special! We kind of judge a place on their ability to make an apple fritter. This is on my top three list in the world! Every single donut we ate was fantastic and their coffee was even good. We can't wait to get back again!
Just a little light breakfast, 😁. Sausage, egg, cheese croissant to satisfy the most discerning palate. 😋 good!
This place is the TRUTH — everything inside looked incredible and it was so hard to only pick out a half dozen. The old fashioned was second to none, and the raised options were sugary clouds. Next time, I need to try the Apple fritter.
Very good donuts if you like light and fluffy donuts. Glazed donuts are extra glazed and sweet. We ordered the fritter (see below), a frosted strawberry yeast, and some donut holes. The strawberry and donut holes were light and sweet, and the strawberry tasted real and not fake.
The shop is small but the owner was very nice and very friendly. I definitely felt good about buying here.
For those who like fritters, this one is slightly above average. It is light and flaky, similar to their donuts, but not too sweet. The apple flavor was underwhelming. The price was average.
Was recommended to go here by a friend & I was NOT disappointed. Donuts were so light & flaky. There are many types/flavors to choose from. Everything was good but I definitely recommend getting some donut holes; they melt in your mouth!
Simple and hit the spot savory breakfast sandwiches, croissants and ton load of donuts, tronuts, old fashioned valet donuts, donut holes and apple fritters and cinnamon rolls. Of course, you for the milk, coffee and other drinks to balance it out. The best part is that they’re open by 05:30 am until very early afternoon! Eggs in the fridge too. Perfect tiny mom and pop shop!
My wife LOVES the Tronuts, we call them Cronuts at home. They are crunchy on the outside but soft, flaky, and moist on the inside. She also loved the sour cream cake donut. Even though it is a cake donut it was soft and moist. Clearly fresh. I went with simple filled donuts, sour cream and custard. Both fresh and very good. We are glad we tried Clifton's and would recommend them.
