Saturday Brunch was outstanding! I greatly enjoyed the Eggs Benedict built on fried mac & cheese. My wife was very delighted with the fried green tomato BLT on a croissant. And, our waiter, Jeremiah, made it all an enjoyable experience.
Without a doubt the best food, drinks, and service out of my restaurant experience. Our server was Amanda and she truly was amazing. She made us feel so welcome, was efficient, and just a sweetheart. She made our experience 10 stars. Would definitely recommend!
This was my second time to LouVino's, but the first time to this location. For a Sunday morning at 10 I was shocked at how empty it was. My husband and I ordered the loaded potato tots, steak and eggs, and french toast. I don't usually order french toast because I don't like much cinnamon, but it was amazing. My husband tried it and said "it's not french toast, it's something better." I agreed. Everything was spectacular! Including the service. Our waitress was amazing and made the meal even more enjoyable. Our receipt said "Katye M." and I hope that's her so she can get the recognition she deserves!
Excellent brunch menu. Visited with three adults and one child and the place was empty when we arrived at 10:00 on a Saturday. Nice upscale atmosphere and no hipsters! Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. People started arriving around 10:20 and the place filled quickly. Donuts were excellent starters. Everyone liked their entrée with just a couple critiques: Belgium waffle was too dense--expected it to be more like A Taste of Belgium in Cincy. Salad was delicious but drenched in dressing--should have asked for dressing on the side. Great to see geotta on the menu but would love to have it sliced 1/4 thick with over easy eggs. In all though, very nice!
Just had the most amazing experience here! Me and some friends split a bunch a plates so we could try a little bit of everything and it was all incredible. The braised pork gnocchi and the duck fat frites were definitely the highlights. I would make sure to save room for beignets as they are the perfect way to wrap up dinner.
If you like sweet wines I would recommend the Waterfront Garden wine flight. The cocktails are also good (especially the vanilla mule) for anyone who isn't into wine.
Can't wait to come back!
I used to live in Louisville and hadn't eaten here before. I was visiting town with my boyfriend and my Plan A for brunch had an hour wait, which we weren't feeling. I was mildly apprehensive about Lou Vino because it's nicer and we had just finished a 2-hour hike and were dressed casually and a little sweaty. Also, I was concerned the menu might be a bit pricey. I am so glad we weren't intimidated out of coming here. There was no wait for a table (noonish on a Sunday), and $2 nice-size mimosas! The brunch entrees were a little pricey for our norm, but the warm atmosphere, excellent and somewhat eclectic menu, and mimosa prices made it so worth it. Prompt and friendly service. Awesome food! We got a fried green tomato appetizer, crispy potato hash with salmon and dill crema, and shrimp and grits waffles benedict with both hollandaise and maple syrup. The visit was a delight. Will return.
5 stars! 6! 7! This is the best meal in Louisville bar none! Every part of the meal was fantastic I cant even put it into words. Flavorful, impactful, fun, and creative! The different techniques and flavors used made dishes that would be a turn off for some (such as brussel sprouts) seem like an exotic and luxurious meal. The restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing, with modern design and beautiful lighting. The restaurant is a bit upscale so you might want to go one step above your casual dress, a polo shirt and nice shorts seemed to be a good choice for dress in mens fashion. It was such a refreshing and eye opening experience. I believe everyone should experience q restaurant like this. Excellent.
