I honestly don’t know if there is a lunch place that comes close or compares to The Cheddar Box! This has been a favorite local lunch spot for a long time and it deserves more than 5 stars! I’m not sure what their secret recipe is, but the food is on fire 🔥! You have to order the sweet tea when visiting, best in town! My go to lunch is the tomato artichoke soup as the honey pecan chicken salad. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Chicken salad was OK. The service was absolutely marvelous! They close early, and the dining room closes at 3 ish. Their cakes made my mouth water, and my gallbladder hurt. Super nice customer service, especially by the beautiful twins and girl in the back.

No surprises here! No, wait, although that's not always the case with this busseling little hot spot. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly. The food was served quickly from a menu that gives you a well-rounded selection for lunch. The food was fresh with generous portions. The staff were attentive to our needs. Dessert was offered, but none order; I can't imagine why.. It is all so delicious. Checkout was a breeze. I'll be back soon.

Love the place! I go there for lunch often. Love the tomato artichoke soup. I grow tired if the tomato basil that everyone else has. Can't go wrong with any of the chicken salad choices. Don't leave without dessert.

We enjoyed a tasty lunch of chicken salad, soup, and pasta salad. They get very busy for lunch and parking can be tricky, but it's a popular lunch and deli spot. Be sure to check out the deli and dessert selections.

One of Louisville's best restaurants! I had the opportunity to enjoy lunch again today at the Cheddar Box Café. The food is always fresh and many wonderful flavors. The best part of our lunch was the staff, in both the café and the deli. The are very friendly and helpful. If you go be sure and try the cornbread salad and the tomato artichoke soup. We also stopped by the deli to take a few favorites home. Today we grabbed a piece of strawberry cake. Delightful.
