My favorite tamale place. I'm never disappointed. Sometimes there can be a line. Don't miss the the pineapple and raisin tamales of you want dessert.

Someone brought Sandra's Tamales to a get together and they are delicious! Went on my own to get it when I was craving and ended up buying 14 tamales. SO GOOD! I love the green chile cheese and pork the best. They're all very tasty though. Give them a try!
Like their website says, their tamales are "wet" that is because their are hot (temperature). If you let them cool down (lol if you can resist) then they are not as wet and everything stays together when cutting or getting them out of the husk. Remember they are cash only. They do have an atm, but like everything else it will charge you extra to get your money out. So be prepared and bring cash. I bought some (11/24/2020) 2 dozen cheese and 6 beef, total $53.00. They have a special order system for different tastes (ingredients) but I have tried it, but may do so after the holidays. They opened at 6am I was the 3rd person in line, I got there at 5:55 am. Line gathers quickly. So remember...cash and a list of what you want.
Sandras tamales are really good. They're so that I've gone back several times. Parking is difficult in front on the boulevard. But they have parking in the back through the alley. They open at 5 a.m. during the holidays. Cash is preferred.
First time to Sandra's and the was down the block for Christmas eats. Bought red beef, red pork, sweet tamales, which were very moist & the right amount of meat and sauce. It went well w/ the champurrado.
I love this place, I’ve been coming here for years. I live in Apple Valley and I drive all the way down there just for the tamales. Please never leave!
They have always had the best tamales in my opinion. But today they didn't have the amount of tamales ready that I needed. They will always be a family favorite. The only thing that could be better if they could ship overnight.
I didn't even know i liked tamales this way now this may be my favorite tamale place. I've not had a dry tamale and the cheese is ridiculously good. Chile relleno was not that great. But there champorado was hot and flavorful. There was a line outside that moved very quickly. Overall Great stop will definitely be back.
