Al Gelato makes very tasty salads, pizza and super great desserts. The portions are very large.
They seem to use a sweetener in most of their recipes which can go both ways. The quality is good. They have a lot of employees for the amount of customers but sometimes it seems difficult to get someones attention if you need something after they bring the food to you. It's nice to see everyone get along well that work here but they are here to work and not BS as much. The Gelato's are excellent!
I found this cute little place from Yelp and am so glad I did! I'm allergic to dairy, so finding good sorbet is always a bit of a cat and mouse game. Al Gelato has some of the best sorbet - especially because they have a chocolate flavor that is just as rich and amazing as regular chocolate ice cream. I love that this place stays open late so I can come here after seeing a show in the LA area and grab a couple scoops of sorbet. I like to sit down and eat my sorbet inside, but they let you take it to go as well. There are several tables inside since it is also a restaurant.
Overall, a very cute place to go especially if you're looking for some tasty sorbet/gelato! It's definitely a bonus that they stay open very late.
I love the pizza, I love the sweet sauce, I love the bread, I love the desserts and the service is always friendly. It is Italian American food at its best with great Gelato. I haven't been there in a while because it is out of the way and parking can be challanging,
I used to to there a lot and when I tasted the food, I forgot how much I liked it and had this feeling of being back at home!
I love coming here and enjoying a shot of espresso and a nice single scoop of gelato. Try the coconut and Italian wedding cookie both are great. The food is okay too, but the gelato is tops.
Really nice lunch here. The Marainera sauce is wonderful. A delightful place to stop and the atmosphere is pleasant and the waitstaff has a good disposotion. Enjoy.
Delicious food and friendly service. We were there well after closing and kept apologizing, but they never made us feel rushed. They even offered us dessert while we were rushing ourselves to pay and leave.
