I loved this very flavorful pupusa!!!
Delicious little munchies. Go early Saturday morning and it is quiet fresh and easy.
I found this gem roaming the sawdust floors of Grand Central Market in Downtown LA. It doesn't look like much, but this food stand has some of the best El Salvadorean food I've ever tasted. Their specialty is the pupusa, an El Salvadorean pancake, that is

This is not the most in-your-face spot at the Grand Central market because it is in between vendors, but it is well worth it. I don't know where else to get Salvadoran food, and these pupusas were great in terms of quality, meeting supply and demand, and pricing. Gotta love it!
Ordered some Pupusas, plátanos fritos, & a cup of Maracuya, I highly recommend it! It was delicious and the staff was really nice!
Fact: A small part of the movie La La Land with Ryan Gosling & Emma Stone was shot at the corner of the booth… Look it up!
Popusas were good not great. I visited during lent so was limited to there menu. I had the shrimp and nopales (cactus) popusas. The slaw and sauce was okay. The size was the best part. Way bigger than traditional popusas. Order 3 only had one and a half. Probably would go back but not my first choice with the great options at GCM!
I am not an expert on this pupusas dish but the taste was good, the salad and the sauce also good (not that spicy). The service was great. It was sunday evening so I wait only a few minutes for my order. It was great to try this :)
A first for me! I’ve ordered their pupusas and it was good! I waited about 15minutes for my food which was no big deal. Food was terrific and the prices were great too!
Wow!
“Wow” is what I first said as I took my first bite of of a chicken platter. This lead to two regulars looking over to me saying isn’t this the best Salvadorian food you have ever had. For me as a Canadian tourist it is the only Salvadorian food I have ever had.
So if you’re new to LA or Salvadorian food I highly recommend checking Sarita’s out!
The food was ok, the salad was spicy, didn’t know that. Tamal was very thick of corn flour, I would like thinner. So far it was ok. Great customer service!
Delicious carne asada pupusa made to order. The salsa is spicy, I added fresh pickled cabbage. Affordable, friendly staff.
The pupusas were great! Well worth the wait. I read the reviews and most of the people complain about the long wait but they make the pupusas fresh right when you order so the take a bit to cook.
