The food is delicious! Portions are on the smaller side, and items are served by themselves without sides. Three salmon tacos are served alone without rice or beans. Burgers served without fries. I had the burger that was cooked to a medium perfection. The bacon paired with the garlic aioli sauce was divine. My party of 4 came on a Wednesday at 7pm and they were busy. We got a table right away but waited a little longer than I would have liked for our beers to arrive, like 15+ minutes. Our food was delivered faster than the bar service. While our waitress was apologetic for the wait, it's the reason I'm giving four stars instead of five. This is a convenient spot if you're attending a concert at The Shrine, which is the reason we ate there. I'd go back.

This place is cool AF. I’ve been here two or three times, but this is the first time I review it. I was here for the Rams v. Saints game and I had a great time. The ambience is nice, and even though it’s a college hangout spot, it still keeps a cool level of sophistication. The “bar food” is elevated and prices are reasonable. As far as the food goes, we ordered (see pictures) the spinach dip and that was amazing. The little croutons they give you to dip with are out of this world highly recommend it. We also tried the nachos with steak and that was just as good. It’s rare that you find such good food from a college bar, but the steak was perfectly cooked and the whole thing was seasoned as if it belonged in a high end Mexican restaurant. The wings were not far behind, we had the Thai chicken wings. the only problem with those was that we wanted more but we had to leave to go to the game. We washed it all down with a bucket of beers and a few cocktails. The beer was fine, just bottled Modelo, and the cocktails were good by all accounts. Whenever we’re in the area, we’ll come back to this spot. It’s legit. The food is top notch, the cocktails are good and the beer doesn’t cost you an arm an a leg. Definitely give it a try!

Food was great. Drinks were slow but arrived just before /after our meals were brought out. Ordered my flat Iron steak medium and it came out that way. The portion was a little small, but otherwise very good.

This place never disappoints always a nice and chill vibe and there employees make it a even better experience. Especially with Adrian’s

Limited vegan options but good nonetheless. The edamame was superb! I couldn't stop eating it! Servers are friendly. Music can get a little loud, making it tough to have conversations without raising your voice or straining to listen to others that aren't right in front of you.

Good food, although it was $18 for a burger with no side.. it was really cold because the patio doors were open..

Near the uni and expo park. Patio looks inviting. To be continued

The ambience is cosy and very nice, located just by the university campus, and close enough to the California science centre to come for lunch if you're planning a visit there and don't want to eat at their cafe. The decor is science inspired, as the name suggests but that's as far as they go with the lab theme. The offer is good, as the quality of food (I had the best fries with a ton of guac over, and the portion was big enough for two!). The staff is friendly and professional, and the service faster than the average. It's a bit on the expensive side, but just slightly above the average for a lunch place.

Gets a little crowded before games but they do a nice job of managing occupancy, so it’s not ridiculously crowded. I will keep coming back. Plus, the wings are great

The food is always delicious, huge portions and good service! I love it here. Their food is the best! I had the carne asada plata and the one at the top of the pic is Fritanga.

Friendly staff, decent eats before the concert at the shrine auditorium. Got spinach dip, burger and chicken sando. All decent. Not out of this world but still really good. The potato chips are made fresh are super tasty and the bartender was very nice

My take on this for those thinking good place before USC football game. If you come early you are good. However even ar 3 hours before a game on Friday night it was crowded. All seating was taken and my son and I just got lucky to squeeze in with a group. So for a relaxing time before game...plan to get there like 4 hours before but then you need to keep buying drinks and food. The food was surprisingly good for the chicken and burger sandwiches. Skip the spinach dip. The pita chips were soggy. Tvs for sports environment, not as many as people say there are. Especially if you are outside

Food is good, but poor service lowers the rating.

I am a visitor from out of town and had lunch and dinner at the lab on the same day.

For lunch I had the hummus, kalbi ribs and crispy skin salmon salad.

The hummus came with a "crispy flatbread" which was actually deep fried flatbread, which was odd for a healthier menu item. The hummus was good, but I didn't eat the flatbread.

Kalbi was good with more meat than expected - I'd order it again.

That salad was served with Caesar salad dressing instead of the avocado-cilantro that was supposed to come with the salad.

The server was very good about refilling drinks and was attentive during most of the lunch, but I had to get up and flag her down for the check (she had disappeared for 5+ minutes, but the MOD was excellent in taking care of the situation.

Dinner was a different experience. I sat at the bar. The bartender seemed more interested in chatting with her friends and fellow employees at the end of the bar than providing service to the customers.

I wasn't informed of happy hour specials, and when I asked I was told that it was now too late.

I had to flag her down for water, to place my order, and once the order was delivered, it took 5 minutes to get her attention to get a napkin and utensils. The fries were pretty much cold by the time I received my utensils and napkins. The fries were greasy, but this may have been because they were cold.

I also suspect I was was charged for premium reserve alcohol when I didn't order drinks with premium reserve, but I don't know for sure.

Again the server was very nice, but the whole experience was fairly inattentive.

The food was good enough that I'd give it another shot, but if I had another disappointing service experience, I wouldn't come back.

At the Lab, you’ve got a cross between high school science class setup and a fancy hotel restaurant. Chalkboards with scribblings of Beautiful Mind formulas decorate the walls, beakers are used as pint glasses and the hanging lab lights and science-themed

Good Brews. After surviving an all day heat wave at USC orientation, we found a nice respite here to recover in. Nice selection of beers and the only place I've seen Boddington ale on tap outside of England! And was it ever delicious! The appetizers were pretty good too.

Overall, we had an easy, enjoyable meal, and will keep The Lab in mind when we are craving something filling and delicious in the neighborhood!

With few chalk blackboards around the room, the places maintains the school theme. Even the restrooms and menus, which are presented on clipboards,
