Marix Tex Mex Cafe

Stopped by here while in West Hollywood! First of all, my server,Corey was great and he made it memorable. It was a cool laid back spot--- wish i would have come for taco Tuesday! But anyway... i got some street tacos and a margarita (definitely strong :) ) The salsa was great too so make sure you try it out!!! I hope they reopen! I would love to go again!

Stumbled upon this place during happy hour. And it is a great happy hour. The $5 grande Margs were delicious and plenty strong. Good thing we walked home, cause anymore than 2 and I think I would called an Uber regardless.... Great food. Yummy fajitas and excellent service. My new go to place foo happy hour drinks and Mexican food.

I've known of and been to Marix for, I don't know, maybe 30 years??? Haven't visited in over a decade. We came here to meet up with a relative, and enjoy some good TexMex food. They don't take reservations, and the place gets crowded really fast. So, either get there early, or plan on a wait. If you have never been here before, it used to be a little house just off of Santa Monica Blvd. (on Flores), that has been, well, 'altered' to make it a two level (retractable) covered patio dining experience. It can get really loud in here, but that is pretty much the 'atmosphere' of Marix. Bring your friends, or meet some new friends. It's a great time here. The food is good, the service is friendly. . . .the margaritas legendary

This spot was nice and cozy. I came here to meet up with some friends and we had a good time. Nice staff and good food. Big portions. I had the seared salmon bowl and booooyyy was it tasty! I missed the place the first time I was looking for it. It's in the cut. Parking can be tough. But it's Hollywood so that's expected. I found some metered street parking, but if you don't have the patience for that there is valet parking for $7.
