This place is really good; their breakfast meal and sandwiches are also good. The place itself is really nice and a great place to come with friends, but the downside is that you have to get your own table, and if you come in a large group, it will be tough to get a table. Also, some of the tables are on the sidewalk, so people do walk by you, but there’s always seating to avoid those areas. It's definitely a good place, and there’s plenty of parking around.
I love Urth cafe!
Must-to-try:
AVOCADO PIZZA!
I ordered this one 5 times out of my 7 visits. It’s really good and it becomes perfect if you ask to add smoked salmon on top (+ about 9$, but it worth it)
SPANISH COFFEE
The best coffee ever, all my friends love it.
BANANA PIE
Simple but so good. It’s a best seller, as I know
What I didn’t really enjoy:
Turkey burger.
Not good at all… it tastes like pork. I asked if there is any another type of meet besides turkey and a manager said no. I don’t eat red meat for a couple of years, but I still remember the taste and my friend said same thing about this burger. She didn’t like it neither even though she eats all types of meats.
Hazelnut chocolate cake.
It is basically just chocolate biscuit with hazelnut decoration. Not really good my itself, but not bad if you take it to go and add some berries at home. I understand everyone’s taste is different, but I saw this unfinished cake on the tables several times.
In overall I have my favorites and they definitely worth 5 stars. Besides of that, it’s very nice cafe to dine in, and the menu has so many items! There are no other cafe in LA that will have this big menu.
Everything here is delicious! Great atmosphere. It's a good place to take a date or to spend some time with a loved one. I come here with my daughter often and we have the best conversations sitting out in the patio.
Urth has always been a good stop for lunch. The chicken sandwhich I got this time was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. My coffee was great, not too sweet. It gets a little hectic with the long lines and people waiting for their orders. It's a really busy place, but the employees are always busy. I recommend ordering ahead, as it's so much faster
Came here for brunch on labor day and it was busy around 9:30am. Food is very good here and would highly recommend the D'Lox pizza. Lots of outdoor seating. Good variety on the menu. The cakes are awesome and would recommend the cheesecakes and Fruit Tart. Hard to find street parking nearby but there is a paid lot located across the street.
Probably one of my favorite cafe’s overall. A great selection of coffee drinks, desserts & sweet beverages. Always lively with lots of spots to sit and people watch or great spot to hang with friends.
I ordered the honey vanilla latte with almond milk and they added the dog art for free. For lunch I ordered the Caesar half salad with chicken added for an extra charge. The salad was solid, excellent flavor and the chicken pieces were good. Overall it was an excellent lunch experience.
I’d say the only negative is that it’s always busy so parking is hard to get at peak hours. It’s definitely worth the wait if you can park or walk to there. I’ve been going to this one and the one in Pasadena. The menu has a lot of other items I’d try next time.
***update***
Try their mushroom pizza, it’s phenomenal!
Urth Caffe is a true gem in the bustling coffee scene of Los Angeles. I can confidently say that this coffee shop is a haven for coffee enthusiasts like myself. The moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee engulfed me, setting the stage for a delightful experience. The cozy and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the rustic decor, creates a perfect ambience for relaxation or catching up with friends. The extensive menu boasts a variety of premium coffee blends and innovative beverages that cater to every taste preference. Urth Caffe never disappoints, making it a go-to destination for my caffeine fix in Los Angeles.
If you’re in Los Angeles and need to satisfy a sweet tooth this is a must-visit. This cafe has several locations throughout the city but this is my favorite spot due to his layout and architecture. I like how there are several seating options: several sections inside the cafe and their own unique vibes. Also plenty of seating outside on the patio and along the streets. This popular cafe seems to be busy all the time, but the staff and service is efficient so I never notice long wait times. It’s a very casual yet hip atmosphere where you can bring the family, date, or just post up with a laptop to get work done. The wifi works well and I never had problems finding parking on the streets. They are known for the Spanish latte, but my favorite is the Urth Napoleon pastry, the tantalizing textures just brings fireworks to your mouth.
Tuesday morning 4th of July. It was a long queue to enter the cafe but once ordered at the cashier, food came quick. We didn't wait long. It has lot of vegetarian option. Although food was tasty,my recommendation here is waffles, I wouldn’t recommend boba tea. Banana walnut waffle. Food comes in big portions 2 people can share a plate.
Great place to have a date night with friends or a significant other. The location is very busy but it is well worth the wait!
Service is wonderful! Pastries and quality of food is great also! For people who aren’t familiar with Urth caffé it might be pricey. But it’s well worth it in my opinion! I’ve been to a few locations and they’ve all been wonderful!
