I grew up in Lakewood Village, just up the street from this location. It was a head shop for decades, the Humble House. For years it was the Forbidden Fruit of my childhood, when I made my paper route rounds or walked down toward Village Road for the post office or a haircut or Thrifty Drug store. When I finally went in the first time, it was a bit of a let down. I moved away about 15 years ago, but still drive by occasionally. Lakewood Village is more upscale these days - great Thai place on the corner of Carson and Bellflower. Many cute little shops. A burrito joint well worth the trip. I bring this up only because all those decades ago, Humble House replaced...a frozen yogurt store. Yogurt is back on Viking Way; everything old is new again...except the laundromat on the corner; it's always been old. I think it was there before Junipero Serra came along. But I digress. The yogurt itself is pretty good. If you're doing laundry next door, it's a great getaway. There's more variety of toppings than yogurt flavors, but oh well. It's not crowded. There's a parking lot across the street but if you're driving for yogurt you're probably not going here. It's a store of opportunity, a spot for waiting launderers and parents consoling kids after a haircut or doctor appointment across the street.

Hidden in a "gravelly waterless cove" on a northern edge of Long Beach lies a Frozen Yogurt shop filled with soft serve deserts, toppings galore, and its own customized wall of memes. Yes, memes. I've been at YoPlace for the yogurt (yum), sandwiches (meh, but alright), chips and drinks (standard) and upbeat attitude (great). It's a fun place to stop through when I'm washing laundry next door or passing by on my way to the Long Beach City College or nearby CVS. Make sure to take advantage of the frozen yogurt you can't see! There are four flavors in the front, but a whole lot more in the back. Just ask!

Nice little place. Have pineapple lactose free yogurt. One machine broke down so they only have two flavors of yogurt one lactose-free and the other one is not

Nice place if you want to get away from large crowds. Employees are friendly. Only draw back is they have limited seating but most people take their purchases with them.
