The Green Olive

Very good food as always. First time trying this specific location. The location was different from the other Green olives I've visited as it is shared with a Liquor Store, but nonetheless food was fresh and very very GOOD! The chicken is my personal Favorite, but you can't go wrong with their other selections.

I got the triple combo, and wasn't disappointed. It had chicken and shrimp skewers on a bed of saffron rice, salad and hummus, with flat bread. What a treat everything was tender and flavorful. The skewers were grilled fresh, and tasted great. The rice was perfection, and the hummus was very good, the flat bread went perfectly with it. The salad was fresh. It was a nice surprise, and the living right around the corner from them and didn't realize it was there. My recommendation is you have to try The Green Olive. It's a hidden gem that you might like and come back to. I plan on going back today.

We stopped by for dinner and it was dead. Service was okay, and the food was nothing special for the large price tag for the type of establishment. The grilled chicken was the best part and was perfectly charred and seasoned on the outside and moist on the inside. The kibbe was good, but it was my first time trying it, so I don't have much of a point of reference. The rice was dry and flavorless and seemed old. The dressing on the salad was thick and didn't taste great. The hummus was creamy but had no real flavor. We were served cold pita bread in which didn't help the hummus. Overall, if you're looking for lackluster food and service at an exorbitant price, this is the place.
