So I went there for the first time last night. Had high expectations since I’ve heard so many people rant about the place. So I start off with ordering a draft IPA and it was flipping warm. And I thought that was going to set the pace for the night. So after finishing the beer and getting our appetizers. Which were on point. Absolutely great. Next was a cocktail which was stiff. Which is also another bonus. Score. Then our main courses came out and boy how tasty everything was. Love this place and will be coming back.
Quick review for locals/SoCal. Sandra and I went to The Eldo - previously known as Eldorado Bar and Grill. I'll make this fast. Awesome! Food, service, drinks, all great. Lots of items for different palates. Beer menu is quite extensive. The chef is South African and has some amazing twists on typical pub faves like fish and chips and uses a unique white fish from South Africa. Bar is stocked with a variety of hard liquor, didn't see anything super top-shelf, but excellent. Most of all, the air conditioning was superb!! It was actually downright chilly in there [I liked it, Sandra had to get an extra shirt of mine from the car to wrap around her]. So if you live around here you have to swing by especially if it's super hot outside. It'd be worth a little journey if you're further away as well.
Food was great as always. My husband had the Ribeye and I had the shrimp linguine. Our server Emily was the best she was always making sure if we needed a refill or anything else. Great date place or great place for family time to eat.

First time here, never given it thought because they open late but was finally in the area right when they opened and WOOOOOW..
The service was above and beyond, our server and the cleaning crew walking about were ON IT. The beer was refreshing and cold, appetizers were amazing, the zucchini sticks were freshly fried and hand tossed, not frozen. Wings had the perfect crisp and the dressings were superb! Main entrees were incredible, the ribeye is A MUST, meat SO juicy and tender, seasoned so well, mashed potatoes creamy and buttery vegetables 👌👌👌 Philly was complimented very nice with munster cheese 🤤 EVERYTHING was amazing. It got busy quickly and I could see why! Would LOVE if they opened around noon, definitely would swing by for a midday pick me up pitcher 😉 Thank you Eldo 👏
Love the outdoor patio area. It has that sort of indoor feel while being outside. The food here was "good" but the fried items all tasted like the oil was getting old and dirty. It's also a pet peeve of mine when they ask how you'd like your burger cooked and it just cook it well done when you ask for medium rare. I would rather they not ask if they are going to give it to me well done regardless
Old school steakhouse that is very popular and gets crowded. Steaks are fantastic. My favorite is the ribeye. My son says the Tavern burger is the best hamburger he's ever had. There is a bar area and both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of TV screens showing sports. The staff is well trained and seams to be genuinely glad you came in. Attentive service.
Good casual place. Busy, but never too busy where you have to wait long without a reservation. Food is good. Ice cream as a dessert was a good deal. Knocking it one star because they served me a samosa that was still frozen in the middle.
The Eldo is a Long Beach staple. It is a great place located on the East side of Long Beach. We enjoy going there after a game of golf and enjoying the atmosphere as a group. Good times!
Sarah was a great server. Ample seating. Wide selection of food. In a weird spot but don't let this scare you away because the ambiance sets the mood. The servers were great and we enjoy our time there.
Amazing food! Best Rib Eye steak I have had in America. They also have a really good beer menu. Highly recommend this place. 10/10
