Awesome place tucked away in Lexington! Great staff! We hosted a Karaoke date night for a local Sorority date night there tonight and had a blast!

I do have a complaint, but first off I'll start by saying it's a really cool environment with friendly staff and good live music. Patrons are all very friendly and I definitely enjoyed myself. My complaint, is I bought a mixed drink that costed $5, (that's really affordable!) And my first one was in a medium sized cup. I got another one, it was in a larger standard- what, 16oz cup? That was awesome! Then my third one came in a short cup, had to have been less than 8oz! Why did I get 3 different size drinks (all the same drink) and get charged exactly the same price for all of them? That hardly seemed fair... for that reason, I can't give more stars. Inconsistency is not a good thing.

I do not drink alot infact quite rarely while I was there the gentleman there was extremely quick about what he does however I did feel a little ignored at times then again I was by myself. Its a nice place to have a chat and a drink however they do appear to be somewhat political. Nothing wrong with being political just felt like the stickers around the place were largely unneeded. But I will give it 4 stars because I did feel a little ignored. Props to the bartender for doing his best. I would recommend carding customers too as it is near a college campus. All in all I may visit again. Oh i forgot to add the Drinks are reasonably priced as well.

This place is good. They also have a burrito place so anyone can grab a bite. But this place is not big and in weekends it gets too crowded. You can sit outside but that is also limited. One more thing is that they have good live music. Excellent beer collection.

Fun dive bar. Decent sound system at times. Don't worry, it's not a horde of bees, it's the sound system, but only sometimes. Drink prices were a little higher than comparable dives. Bartender seems a loose term for the employee behind the bar here. Tending to customers did not seem to be her main objective.

Best Friend Bar is certainly one of the best bars in all of Lexington. The chill atmosphere makes it a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy their company. Several bars throughout Lexington try to pack as many people in as possible, and it leads to an overall uncomfortable experience. Best Friend Bar is much more personable. They also have a great select of beer on tap which is wonderful for a bar of its size. Not to mention the food is unbelievable. They could seriously make a living off of the food alone. They even have an air hockey table, nice TV at the bar, and a projector screen. In my opinion, this bar is flawless.

There are some good shows here, some decently priced drinks, friendly faces, and a pop up kitchen... Sometimes. The other times there is godawful noise you're getting charged for, draft beer prices, terrible bar service (if you aren't hot/part of the clique,) and no kitchen. Part and parcel of this is that when a good show comes along, they don't mind you acting crazy and letting your hair down a bit. I used to say I didn't like this place, but I've had enough cool times where I could wild out on an invitation and others where I just knew I didn't fit in. I'm not sure when those times are, seeing as there seems to be a bizarre juxtaposition of UK people there for watching sports, and vest-wearing Thrasher Magazine types. I'm having trouble figuring out one from the other a lot these days in terms of attitude, so I guess it "just works out." Personally I think there would be an improvement of the sports on TV were gladiatorial deathmatches but you can't get everything you want out of a bar. I'll settle for a beer and take the good with the bad.
