Jin Shan Restaurant

Ok, I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves all the love! I order from here ANYTIME I want Chinese food (about 2-3x/month)! I found this place a couple years ago and I have loved it ever since. I recommend Jin Shan to anyone that is looking for new places in Lawrence to eat. The buffet is wonderful, the delivery is fantastic, and the prices are AMAZING! The staff is so sweet and welcoming. I have tried a few other places around town, because Jin Shan is closed on Tuesday's, and nowhere else compares. LOVE!!!

I ordered carryout from Jin Shan Buffet via Eatstreet and I was extremely impressed! They had $34 worth of food ready to go within fifteen minutes of ordering, and it was hot, fresh, and delicious. The portions were very generous. I was particularly impressed with the General Tso's Tofu. It was some of the best, most flavorful tofu I've ever had, and I can tell that it was well-marinated. My wife loves their honey chicken and egg drop soup. We'll definitely order from this restaurant again.

Wow! The best Chinese food I've had in the last 5 years or so! Went for Thursday lunch and it was pretty busy. But the staff was very attentive, my water never got below half way. The food was AMAZING! They had sushi, a lot of the chicken favorites, egg drop soup, a hibachi grill, an entire island of desserts.... 5/5 for atmosphere, 4.8/5 for quality of food, and at $7.99 for lunch buffet you can't beat that!

I am so grossed out right now. I ordered this beef and mushroom it was raw! Make sure you check your meat before eating 🤢 Update: I am so very disappointed with this company and will never eat there again. I called to request a refund for my food. They would not, they said will bring a new one I accepted. 1 hour and half later i call them to see where food is? They never had any intention of bringing it. I am waiting again supposed to be bringing it. 🤬🤯

I went here not expecting much of anything as it is a buffet. In Lawrence for the day working. We were on our way out of town and decided to try it out. I was totally amazed how clean and fresh everything was on the buffet. I tried multiple items and everything I ate was great. The staff were all great and very attentive to us as well. I will definitely swing by here and eat again. I think if you're looking for a great buffet you should try it too!!!!!

It’s not in the best neighbourhood and it’s kind of a diamond in the rough, but all my favourite places are that way! The food is always fresh and there is a variety. However, when I return, it always looks the same as last time: delicious! At other buffets, there’s no consistency in food but this one has got it! Hits the spot everytime. Service-wise, it is wonderful as well. I was struggling to cut a piece of chicken with my fork and the compassion gentleman who took my drink order brought me a knife. Observant, humble, kind. I tipped the bill. The great food and service keeps me coming back and bringing friends! Thank you for being my favourite asian food destination in town!

Everyone here is kind and give exceptional service. The price is great for the food offered; they have a lot of variety for different tastes. It's pretty much classic American-Chinese food, so the sushi is cooked and there are no baby octopi (which could be good or bad for different people). They have really good deserts actually, and everything was hot. I've never seen it overly crowded, and there hasn't been a shortage of whatever dish you want to try. It's a great restaurant and I'd recommend it for anyone wanting some really good egg rolls.
